Spring Time (Fair) is coming!

Summer is almost here, but that doesn't mean we can't say goodbye to Spring with a bang! That's why I'm bringing in a little event that I would like to call...

RECOLLE SPRINGTIME FAIR!!!

It will be held on May 20-21 (which is the perfect time to recover from their small incident, no pun intended), so long story short, it will have games, booths, prizes, an auction, and of course, a pet show for your furry (and not-so-furry and normal friends). About the Fair
On May 20-21, Recolle Square will be occupied with booths and rides for the Springtime Fair, a celebration of everything spring has to offer. Themed around an American Style Cultural Festival, the residents will enjoy some fun rides like the Tilt-A-Whirl, Merry-Go-Around with Chocobos, Ferris Wheel, and more as well with game booths, delicious food, and informational booths about Recolle's heritage.

Not only that, there will be three main events being held in the fair, namely the silent auction for blind gift baskets which players can handwave that they won any random prize for their characters, a pet show, and a service auction.

As for the small proceedings from the booths and the auctions, all of it will go to Recolle Zoo and Aquarium's Endangered Animal Preservation.

The Service Auction
Along with the silent auction, there will be an auction that sells and bids on the participants' services. Whether if you're looking for someone to do yard work, cooking, and other stuff for a fee, this is a good place for business owners to visit during the fair.

So in a nutshell, you can sign your character as a participant who is willing to offer their services to the auction in this thread. The sign-up form will be in the same thread below.

Please note characters will sign up on-site and that there will be no Retrospec sign-up glitches since the participants need to be willing to join (or in this case, let their friends sign them up if you want) and that Retrospec is not sponsoring the fair.

The Pet Show
Every fair needs a contest and Springtime Fair is no exception with the annual Pet Show! Not only you can show off your beautiful and cool pet to the audience, but you can win a big prize from one of the sponsors! But, for some reason, this year's pet show somehow accepts all kinds of pets. Heck, the judges don't even bother if your pet is a Chocobo or a furry magical creature!

So if you like to participate with your normal or any strange and magical pet, fill in the form below and comment it in this thread.

Winners will be determined by RNG and will be announced in the event log.

Booths Galore
And lastly, every fair needs a lot of booths! Whether it's a food booth, a booth for your player-owned business, or carnival game booths (like High Striker, Whac-A-Mole, Dunk tank, or any kind of games), you name it!

If you're interested, make sure you reply to this thread so your character will set up a booth for the festivities!

No questions, but glad you got this off of the ground. It's the sort of event that pretty much runs itself, after all. Those are nice to have going every once in a while, you know... when everyone isn't height deficient.

I'm just glad I managed to pick the perfect dates for the fair. Might be a good player plot for the characters after that mod event.

It's just far enough afterwards that it offers something a little lighter before next month, about a week later so they've had the time to do post-event plotting which is likely to occur. Overall, nice timing.

Don't worry about it. I've been to so many of these things over the years and visited the arts and crafts booths while eating bratwurst and the like. They're sort of a seasonal tradition in places I've lived over the years. You get kind of used to what goes into them after a while. Happy to help.
