The Murder of Y. Matsuoka

Hello everyone!!

As many of you are well aware, Yukine (secare) will be dying on the 9th to throw him face-first into his exciting new life as an exciting dead teen/katana combo. Sorry kid, but sometimes life has gotta suck to get you back onto the path of destiny and being dead is a necessary part of that.

Of course, the thing that I haven't mentioned is how he's going to die!

Surprise, it's murder!


On the 9th, Yukine will be in the company of both Minato (compendiem) & Akira (maskreant) where he'll leave them to go the nearest 8-12 for some drinks and snacks and accidentally stumble onto a robbery in process. The situation will escalate into Yukine getting stabbed while the assailant flees the scenes. Akira and Minato won't make it in time to do anything about him.

Meaning that there will be a murderous npc on the loose who deserves to pay for his crimes just as anyone else would. With the blessing of our mods, I'd like to turn this situation over to the capable hands of the Recolle police force.

Would one or some of the members of the force be interested in going down this side plot with us?

For law enforcement characters:

One thing I'm looking to do is have Minato attempt to summon a Persona to heal Yukine as the police is being called to the scene. His way of doing this is with a summoning medium shaped like a gun. Obviously, this is something alarming and incriminating to have at the scene of a robbery and murder!!

I am interested in him getting arrested or taken away due to possession of a "gun" and a possible suspect/accomplice in the crime, so if this is something anybody can help make happen, that would be great♥

considering this NPC killed his son Ichirou is probably going to get pretty obsessed with catching them

ideally I'd like him to catch him or at least be with anyone who does and someone talk him down from uh, taking matters into his own hands, cause he's really going to want to!

Dad takes priority, yes, so I am here for your character needs. Togusa is also going to be highly sympathetic and might not do the best job of trying to stop him, to give him freedom to get involved. But also following around a slightly out of control colleague would lead to Togusa regains?

We were talking about what police characters there are and all I knew was Mako and was so, so sad he couldn't make it happen hahaha

Not a police player, but law enforcement yes. I can offer three things as needed.

-My nerdage for the police/law genre while people play out the investigation and discuss charges. Might give you an idea of what to have your character do to keep busy.

-One of the local assistant district attorneys that might prosecute the case.

-That vigilante in the silly costume. He might have some luck tracking down the real culprits with his senses depending on the evidence left behind if the goal is to catch the real culprits to prove Minato innocent.

/raises hand, What's the short version of what is going to happen to Yukine afterwards? I've been so curious. Does he get a physical form afterwards? Is he like Yato and not everybody can see him?

YES PLEASE he's gonna be obsessed to the point of uh, self-detriment, so he'll definitely need someone to follow him around and make sure he does things like

After he dies, Yukine is going to become a cute little puff spirit. Sadly, most people won't be able to see this unless they're spiritually inclined!

Yato will find him in this form and name him. Naming him will give him human form again! And also allow him to turn into Yato's weapon when called for (and he agrees to it).

Unfortunately, he's also like Yato where not everyone will be able to see or notice him. They're similar types of beings. He's not going to enjoy it.

Ohhhh! That's so neat! This has been on my to-watch in-depth list for a while, I got the overview for a LARP last year. At least he does get a body yay!

Yeah we'll see what Kimmeh has in mind. Vigilante involvement is offered but optional.

I'm guessing the police (nor any vigilantes) will not stop the real murderers in the beginning if Minato is going to be arrested. ???

As of right now, we lack anyone who might arrest Minato!

I am personally happy to let whatever you guys want to do happen (as long as it's mod savvy) as long as Ichirou gets to be involved in the capture/arrest.

I strongly recommend reading it! The manga is a better experience than the anime, sadly.

It's currently on hiatus so now is the best time to catch up.

Were you hoping for Minato to be a suspect for a certain amount of time? Catching the real guilty party would naturally affect how long he is on the list of suspects.

I didn't have a set amount of time in mind and can be flexible about it since I'm not very familiar with how long suspects are kept under suspicion, etc., but maybe just a week so he'll be free to tag into the TDM, or if that's not realistic, definitely before the end of the month so I can swing into April stuff.

NOT LAW ENFORCEMENT but Akira is someone who would be VERY interested in closely following the case, if possible, if it's being publicized, etc.. Because he needs more reasons to be upset at a world that he will want to try and correct someday.

Also I realize this icon is now extremely appropriate.

Yato won't be trying to personally murder anyone this time, shockingly, because he'll be busy trying to find Yukine's ghost... but he'll offer to help Ichirou with his investigation any way he can! He'll stalk or steal or break in anywhere lmfao, really anything Ichirou wants. Also he doesn't object Ichirou taking matters into his own hands but don't listen to Yato probably

As an actual CSI, Derek can be the lead CSI of the crime scene and do his CSI thing! Which will suck for him because he actually knows Yukine and thought he was a pretty cool teenager.

If Yukine's player is fine with it, I'd like Grell to be handling the corpse after the fact - she's used to dealing with Retrospec dead bodies by now and so would have a solid interest in making sure it was her handling things before they get swept away.

Good to know. Neither of the ADAs can make arrests but maybe Togusa can do it if we don't get any other police characters.

Looks like Minato is going to be the lead suspect for a while so catching the true culprit will take place on a different day from the murder.

What's the nature of Yuikine's death? A gunshot, thus making Minato look guilty?

I don't imagine Minato would be the suspect for long. While it may not be immediately identifiable—in the initial moment, that is—Yukine will be getting stabbed as per the top post!

I figure Minato will get clearly quickly enough? Considering.
