valentine's day event: sign-ups!
Hello, everyone!
With the permission of the mods, Souji and Yu will be hosting a player plot which is a Valentine's Day event in the form of blind dating! What this means is that characters will sign up, be matched up with someone randomly, and be "forced" to go out on a date with them on the 14th!
Of course, there are a few more details than just that, so under this cut is the all the information about the event, how it will play out, and some important dates (including the sign up deadline, which is this Friday!).
ICly, the twins will be hosting an event on Valentine's Day where characters can sign themselves or others up to participate in a blind date. Those who sign up can optionally give a very short description of what they're like (interests and the such) so they have a more suitable match. They will then randomly pair up everyone and contact the participants on the 13th in regards to who their date will be. From there, the dates can plan things out with each other and how the date would or would not go.
OOCly, for those who wish to have their characters participate in the event, you guys just have to sign up here! We understand that not everyone has a character who would typically join these kinds of events, so we've gotten permission from the mods for an alternative.
For those with shy characters or those who wouldn't actively sign up, players have two options: 1) they can have another character ICly sign them up, or 2) to have Retrospec accidentally submit their names to the twins (since the system already has their info). For the latter, the twins won't realize or even know that they were faulty submissions so they'd just process them and match them up with others without suspecting anything.
The IC sign-ups are here! But it is not mandatory to reply to it. All we need is an OOC sign-up here on this post with the form to be filled up. Even if you replied to the IC post, please also comment here so we have everything in a neat and organized manner.
Sign-ups close on Feb. 10 at 11:59PM EST, so if you'd like to participate, please get your comment in before then! We will contact all players on either Feb. 11 or 12 to notify them about their matches. This will be done through leaving an IC comment on the character's inboxes (ICly, these messages will be fast-forwarded to say that they were left on the 13th), but we will also reply to every comment in this post to link to the match's player and contact info.
A log will then go up on Feb. 14 where all the blind dates can take place!

- → Players can sign up their characters for a blind date event. Characters can be signed up against their will, either by other characters submitting their names on their behalf or through a glitch in the Retrospec

→ The results of the matches will be sent to every participant of the event through a comment in their character's IC inbox but also in response to the OOC comments here in this post on Feb. 11~12
→ A log will go up on Feb. 14 to contain all the blind date threads
