BINGO/REGAIN SWAP SIGN UPS

Hello hello! We'd like to draw your attention to this quick sign-up post for elements taking place over the month of July. Introduced in July's event log (going up 7/3), these effects will be in place for you to play with for the entire month leading up to the Recollé ReConvention!

Though applications are now open, we are posting this now to give everyone time to sign up. Please read on for these effects and the dates.

BINGO CARDS
The first part to be elaborated in July's event log is a game-wide round of bingo! For any character you sign up for the bingo card plot, we will assign you a card pre-made by us. On each card is a variety of activities laid out in a five by five square for things to thread out with your gamemates. You may attain up to 3 Bingos by completing threads involving activities in the squares. For each completed bingo your character will receive a QR code and one free memory regain (QR codes will not be issued after 12am EST 7/30!) This is to say this month you have the opportunity to obtain up to three free memory regains (please note you must complete & submit these bingos before the end of July!). To qualify, your first Bingo must have at least one thread with a character you have never tagged before, but your second and third Bingos may be with new or old CR. Additionally, each thread must have at least 5 comments from you and must show the activity completed or have substantially shown effort to be completed. You may complete up to two squares in the same thread so long as the other requirements are met, but no more than that.

Please respond to the mod comment HERE to sign up for this, and we will begin assigning cards immediately with card sign-ups closing at the time of the event log on July 3rd. Though this will be part of July's event log, it is completely optional and you are not required to participate; however, the QR codes will become relevant later on in the month. The log itself will also include an option for characters to react should you choose to opt out of this event.

Of note: while you are free to start plotting with your bingo cards early, we ask that you don't start these threads until the event log goes live on July 3rd and characters ICly get their cards.

REGAIN SWAP
July's event post will also have a chance to swap memories or powers with other characters. For this, we will be working in RNG pairs which will be assigned by the mod team. (If your RNG doesn't work out, please speak with us and we will reassign you.) For new characters apping in this month, you will be matched with other new characters and we ask that those signing up for this portion of the event pick one small memory regain! You will be trading with each other and we will elaborate further in the event log.

For current characters you may sign up to swap memories or powers that you have obtained in your registry that will be thrown into the mix to RNG and link you up with a partner. These effects will be lasting for most of the month, so please consider this wisely! Likewise, if you would like a second partner later on please come speak with us and we will RNG you for a second trade should we have others in the queue.

Again, this is completely optional and we will have an option for those who do not wish to participate in this part of the event. Sign-ups for this will close on July 2nd, which is when we will give out assignments. (Barring any new characters whose applications are still being processed.) Aside from these events, we will have the regularly scheduled event log with additional prompts and as always we encourage you guys to start putting together expeditions, groups, and utilizing other small events as you see fit! July's effects will end on the last day of the ReConvention, and sign-ups for August's event will go up July 24th. (One month from now.)

Hello! Your partner for the regain swap is Togusa! As soon as the event post goes up tomorrow evening you may trade up to three memories, powers, or appearance changes between the two of you. Characters will received a vague whisper of a name or sense of who they might be looking for in order to trade things back. Upon finding one another, some method of swapping can be worked out between the two of you - a Freaky Friday hug, a high five, a conversation leading to a sense of understanding - anything you agree upon will work to "fix" things. You may use the entirety of July to attempt to locate one another and switch back if you so choose, although by August 1st things will have returned to normal.

Memories that were "swapped" will not be lost to the character who originally had them, although powers and appearance alterations and items will be until the swap is reversed. However, they will have a nagging sense that they need to do something and that something is wrong until they meet up and "complete" the swap.

Further, please choose one small memory your character has not received to be one of the memories swapped between the characters and respond here with it; we'll approve it for use ASAP and once you locate your partner and switch back simply drop a comment to our regains post and we will approve it there as well!

For his small memory, how about when he sees a news report about Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre and saw Alain there from Mega Evolution Act III?

Although he won't able to see Alain clearly.

Double-checking for our plans below, are items okay to swap or no?

They absolutely are! In addition to the small memory we requested of each of you, you can trade memories, items, abilities, or appearances - even skills. Basically any regain is fair game, for a total of three + the freebie (which the character who "owns" it won't have at all until you trade back).

Hi! I'm excited for this, so I wanted to know if there was anything from Togusa's registry you really wanted to play with. If you're not canon-familiar, and I need to help explain ideas, just let me know.

So, if Togusa got three of the memories about Garchomp so that he understands what Sycamore was trying to tell him about Garchomp being more than just a pet? That could lead to some cool conversations, and Togusa admitting he was wrong about things is always fun.

That's a good idea! Plus, it's a great CR as well!

And yeah, I'm completely canon-blind with his canon. So I hope you can help me out about that.

All of the cop stuff is fairly self-explanatory, so far as Togusa knows it, Yamaguchi was just his partner on a standard kidnapping case, he recently remembered that the known culprit was some guy named The Laughing Man.

Tachikomas! Tachikomas are tanks with legs like spiders. That talk philosophy. And dance. And....have grenade launchers. They're complicated. But adorable. And Togusa worked with them.

Do you have any questions on any of the specific memories?

Well, how about Interceptors? They might be interesting.

Also, we're not limited by memories, right?

Memories, powers, or appearance, so if you want the gunshot scar, ohhh, have at it. Togusa himself doesn't remember how he got it.

Okay, so Interceptors. They're nanites, tiny machines that you can inject a target with, and then boom, the machines wirelessly transmit everything your sucker sees back to you. They last about six months or so before they get too broken down to work any more. Togusa regained the memory when he was trying to figure out how Retrospec was getting those surveilance photos from behind everyone.

That memory might be interesting as well.

And that might be a good swap. Augustine will be completely freaked out about it for sure! And I can say the same if he got his hands on his revolver.

I'd be glad to, double-check if items are getting swapped, though. I'd be fine with just Togusa getting memories from the Professor. No plans are around the gun, though, so it would be fine to lose for a few weeks. (He needs to keep the book for bingo, though.)

Well, so Togusa will get Augustine's memories about his ~~Garchomp~~ Modeste and Augustine will get a memory of Tachibana and some items?

Sounds like a deal! Togusa's gun is just a regular revolver, no sci-fi weirdness.

I posted his other memory here. I saw the one you posted below, and I'm all set to go along with that one.

Guess that will be their third item/memory to be traded then. Is that okay?

Actually, the small memory we asked you for is one on top of the three you can trade! That one Augustine would not remember himself until he and Togusa manage to swap back, and vice versa; each character would just wake up with the new memory, as well as the other three you had.

I didn't quite explain it well enough in the initial comment, I think, my apologies!

Can you explain that in layman's terms?

The memory you both picked that I approved will be received by your partner on the 3rd; you can acquire it yourself upon swapping back, which can be done in any manner chosen by the two of you in a thread as stated in the initial comment. At that time, simply apply for that freebie to our regains post in the usual way!

Beyond that memory you may choose up to 3 regains of any variety to switch between you, which will remain swapped until either the end of July or until you switch back.

Does this clarify things?

So that means that small memory is somehow the fourth memory to be swapped or something?

Correct! That one is sort of your "prize" for completing the activity, since Augustine would get that one from Togusa at the end of it.
