BINGO/REGAIN SWAP SIGN UPS
Hello hello! We'd like to draw your attention to this quick sign-up post for elements taking place over the month of July. Introduced in July's event log (going up 7/3), these effects will be in place for you to play with for the entire month leading up to the Recollé ReConvention!
Though applications are now open, we are posting this now to give everyone time to sign up. Please read on for these effects and the dates.
BINGO CARDS
The first part to be elaborated in July's event log is a game-wide round of bingo! For any character you sign up for the bingo card plot, we will assign you a card pre-made by us. On each card is a variety of activities laid out in a five by five square for things to thread out with your gamemates. You may attain up to 3 Bingos by completing threads involving activities in the squares. For each completed bingo your character will receive a QR code and one free memory regain (QR codes will not be issued after 12am EST 7/30!) This is to say this month you have the opportunity to obtain up to three free memory regains (please note you must complete & submit these bingos before the end of July!). To qualify, your first Bingo must have at least one thread with a character you have never tagged before, but your second and third Bingos may be with new or old CR. Additionally, each thread must have at least 5 comments from you and must show the activity completed or have substantially shown effort to be completed. You may complete up to two squares in the same thread so long as the other requirements are met, but no more than that.
Please respond to the mod comment HERE to sign up for this, and we will begin assigning cards immediately with card sign-ups closing at the time of the event log on July 3rd. Though this will be part of July's event log, it is completely optional and you are not required to participate; however, the QR codes will become relevant later on in the month. The log itself will also include an option for characters to react should you choose to opt out of this event.
Of note: while you are free to start plotting with your bingo cards early, we ask that you don't start these threads until the event log goes live on July 3rd and characters ICly get their cards.
REGAIN SWAP
July's event post will also have a chance to swap memories or powers with other characters. For this, we will be working in RNG pairs which will be assigned by the mod team. (If your RNG doesn't work out, please speak with us and we will reassign you.) For new characters apping in this month, you will be matched with other new characters and we ask that those signing up for this portion of the event pick one small memory regain! You will be trading with each other and we will elaborate further in the event log.
For current characters you may sign up to swap memories or powers that you have obtained in your registry that will be thrown into the mix to RNG and link you up with a partner. These effects will be lasting for most of the month, so please consider this wisely! Likewise, if you would like a second partner later on please come speak with us and we will RNG you for a second trade should we have others in the queue.
Again, this is completely optional and we will have an option for those who do not wish to participate in this part of the event. Sign-ups for this will close on July 2nd, which is when we will give out assignments. (Barring any new characters whose applications are still being processed.) Please reply to the mod comment HERE to sign up for this portion.
Aside from these events, we will have the regularly scheduled event log with additional prompts and as always we encourage you guys to start putting together expeditions, groups, and utilizing other small events as you see fit! July's effects will end on the last day of the ReConvention, and sign-ups for August's event will go up July 24th. (One month from now.)

Memories that were "swapped" will not be lost to the character who originally had them, although powers and appearance alterations and items will be until the swap is reversed. However, they will have a nagging sense that they need to do something and that something is wrong until they meet up and "complete" the swap.
Further, please choose one small memory your character has not received to be one of the memories swapped between the characters and respond here with it; we'll approve it for use ASAP and once you locate your partner and switch back simply drop a comment to our regains post and we will approve it there as well!

Are there any powers/appearance/items you already have plans for for the month that you don't want swapped out?
Here is Ryoji's registry; the only thing I have plans for is his Moonless Gown ability, if it's alright to reserve that!

I actually don't have many plans beyond his timelooping ability, although the like. time freeze shit would be fine to nab, and my only flying plans are WITH YOU HILARIOUSLY...oh but dave would like to Keep his shades but everything else is fair game.
is there any power/memory/whatever you would particularly like ryoji to have to share/think would be fun to grab or give? :O

I think the memories I'm going to grab for Ryoji are Dave's death in Cascade, and I think it's PM(?) dumping the Mayor's dead body in front of the trolls and kids. Would Dave parting with his anime red eyes be okay?
On the flipside, the most fun power to give would probably be Ryoji's Shadow ability + Thanatos, which would have to be jointly traded, if Dave wants to shift back and forth into a Thanatos! Minako's also tied into Thanatos, so we could work something out together if that's something you want to do.
Memory-wise, the more interesting ones are probably battles with him as Thanatos, or as the Nyx Avatar. Unless Dave wants to see Ryoji go on dates, haha... LMK if you want something serious or lighthearted, because there's really only two modes of memories he has
That aside, the freebie memory Dave will be getting is this monster eyeball in the place of the moon in the night sky! One day Ryoji will learn that that's him, and be very :(

also oh my god poor ryoji. sure he can have the vivid memory of exploding in the green sun explosion and that is totally pm dumping the mayor's dead body in front of the trolls and kids! you are also more than free to have his red eyes?? dave will just go "wtf" at losing those tbh but like, also his flying is free to have if you wanted that instead of something and we can coordinate on when all we want them to meet up again to trade stuff back...
the battle with him as thanatos would work! dave has absolutely no idea wtf is going on with ryoji obviously and would just go WHAT...to a lesser degree than ryoji would be going admittedly. i will admit i'm not the persona familiar mod so i'm not 100% clear on what ryoji's shadow ability does sweats nervously

I think I'll take those two memories and the red eyes! As for when to meet and trade back, anytime before the con date because I'm flying back to school on the 21st and don't know how busy I'll be after that? This can be forward dated and stuff!
Ryoji being a Shadow I've been playing as him being nonhuman, so he doesn't feel hunger/exhaustion/etc. and doesn't need to eat or sleep (but is capable of both if he wants), doesn't have a heartbeat, doesn't need to breathe if he doesn't want to, etc. Basically he looks human but isn't "alive" in that he doesn't have basic physiological needs.
The Thanatos memory runs from 1:15 to 2:05! lmk if there's any other information you need to understand it

o7! For Minako, at the start of the video where she points the gun(Evoker) at her head, she can summon Thanatos, basically anywhere Dave is, he'd be pulled away from and appear as Thanatos at Minako's side :'') He can also speak to her telepathically in his own voice, which would probably freak her out haha...
ohh talk to me about timeloops, for the "1 hr back" he would be able to redo the last hour? Does it just apply to himself, etc. what are the rules?

LMAO POOR MINAKO...dave just WHY THIS!!!!!!!
it's 1 hour currently but HOW STUPID HOMESTUCK TIMELOOPS WORK...it's not so much "changing" things usually (that does dead end timelines if you do because...homestuck) so much as doing things you were always meant to do. basically like:
http://i.imgur.com/RJnRRZs.png this image, the timeloops can stack so if you go back to the same time 3 times you can have. 3 of yourself. so there is that, but it is always You, you just have a REALLY WEIRD CHRONOLOGY - if you follow the arrow dave is always dave but he is just sometimes 3 daves existing at the same time.
if that...makes sense...it's a little late but mostly the rules are "don't die?" and also "don't ruin the timeline maybe". it applies for him but he can take one person side-along currently if he wants. USUALLY HE DOESN'T, but he CAN and has done it to 2 people to date. :|b

Okay, yes this makes sense. The very little Homestuck I've retained from years ago remembers stacked timeloops. Ryoji would probably just... be in different places in the same hour time period instead of interfering with himself, he'll be so productive!!! especially now that he has to waste time eating and sleeping haha
