JULY MOD NOTES

Happy Friday! We have a few brief announcements that we would like to draw your attention to momentarily.

The game has met the first goal for regaining normal fruits. Beginning on 7/14, normal limes will be back in the game! We will toss up an IC Retrospec post announcing this, at which time the normal limes will be in effect.

In addition, we are 75 points away from the first tier for regaining horses in-game, and we are 75 points away from regaining the second tier for blue in-game. Should these tiers be met before 7/14, those features will be integrated into the game with our IC post as well.

Also on 7/14, we will be tossing up the game-wide HMD! Per the feedback you guys gave us back in May we have swapped to a quarterly system rather than a bimonthly system. Now that everyone has had a bit of time to settle into the game, we will post that on the same day as the IC Retrospec post.

Please note: we will only be accepting bingo threads through the month of July! Once July is over, characters will no longer qualify for bingo, but backdated threads may be used for points in August. To claim your bingos and your threads, please respond to your comment in which we assigned you your cards and provide us with the qualifying links!

Your first bingo will net you a free memory and a QR code. You may earn up to three bingos for three QR codes and three memories, and going for a full blackout will earn you one item of choice from our 20-30 points category.

Finally, please remember that this month is our new AC month! That means AC is now 20 comments mixed and matched in any of our acceptable formats (found on the AC page.) This also means that this is the first month to also submit memories for your AC! You only need to submit one memory for your AC. Please note: this line item cannot be an item or an ability. As the page specifies, this must be one memory from your character's canon, even if it's fairly insignificant.

Just to check, can the AC memory also be a free memory? Like one we receive from an event or bingo?

As long as it is a regained memory it will be acceptable, regardless of how it was triggered! It has to be received in the month of the AC check, and you should link to the approved request in your AC check form in the appropriate area.

The only regains that are ineligible are non-memories, i.e. skills/items/appearance changes or anything you purchase with points.

I thought I read in the other post that AC threads with a character we haven't tagged before can also give us points but I can't find it in the AC post itself. Did I remember that wrong or was it one of those, 'maybe we'll think about implementing' things?

Hello there!

From the AC post itself:

"For any proof that you turn in with a new person/a person you did not use for your AC the month prior, we will be more than happy to grant you your bonus points for these comments.

So, for example:

AC MONTH ONE
Passing AC would be 10 comments with person A, 5 comments with person B and 5 comments with person C.

You would be able to earn your bonus points for your threads with B+C

AC MONTH TWO
Passing AC would be a post with 10 network comments from you, 5 comments from person D and 5 comments from person C again.

You would be unable to earn bonus points for your thread with C, but you would still pass AC and be able to claim the extra points for your thread with D."

By the way, have you considered making an AC flow chart to help make AC easier to understand/quicker to check the rules? Since AC's gotten a bit more complicated now and all.

No worries! While we do not have an AC flow chart, we have outlined AC in the body of the post itself and we do have example comments linked that show examples of comment submissions. We hope this helps!

Just to check, can the bonus points count for BOTH proofs if it's with new CR, or just with one of the proofs?

I've heard conflicting things so I wanted to check. Thanks!

Hi! Basically it will only count for one of your proofs since we never allowed for AC initially to count for bonus points. Your first proof is always going to be designated for AC only, but your second proof, which must be comments only, can count for bonus points if it's new CR or CR you did not turn in AC with for the previous month. For your second proof this would be either one thread of 10 comments or two threads that make up a total of 10 from you. To count for bonus points, the thread(s) must be someone you did not use for your AC the month prior whether that's someone new, or current CR you used for bonus points but not your AC.
