AC UPDATES + ETC

Hi everyone! πŸ¦„

Congratulations on getting through the first AC period with the new system! You guys did awesome; a lot of the notifications we sent out were very minor things and several things were made clear to us to help us iron out the kinks of our AC system.

As such, we have a couple of announcements/calls to action/etc.

First of all, we will be writing a short AC guide that makes it a little more clear how to submit AC, what counts as proofs, etc. Some of the things we want to include in this guide include the following:

πŸ’  Please do not link just a top-level as an AC proof! Top-levels are great for bonus points, but since top-levels branch out into multiple threads it makes it harder to calculate.

πŸ’  However, you may use threads from the same top-level to combine for your two threads that equal ten! An example would be a top-level to a Retrospec network post with threads from person A and person B adding to a total of 10. The rest of the tags from that top-level can be used toward bonus points.

πŸ’  When supplying a proof using our "two threads adding to 10" format, please do not use two separate threads with the same character for this proof! We prefer your proofs to be with different people during the month. (This was something we did not make clear initially and will make more clear for future AC periods.)

πŸ’  Your second proof does not have to be brand new CR! It doesn't even have to be new CR at all. To claim your bonus points for your second proof, we just like to see that it is someone different than the month prior. You can use a thread with your close CR/castmates/etc and it would count. However, if you do not use someone "new" for your second proof, it will still count as AC, just not the bonus points.

πŸ’  For clarity, if you are claiming your second proof for bonus points please notate it on your AC. A good way to do so is "x thread with - 10 comments for 10 points" or something of the nature so we can be sure to include it in your bottom total. We will update our AC forms as well to reflect this.

πŸ’  Your regain approval link must be the link on the regains page, not a link to the thread the regain occurred! This is to help us crosscheck which regains were approved in the month.

πŸ’  Remember: network tags count as .5 points, action count as 1 point!

Secondly, our Allen Walker player, Yuff, updated one of the AC spreadsheets floating around to reflect our new AC rules. You can look at the post about this here!

We would be interested in hearing your feedback about this new AC system, questions you guys had, etc! We want to streamline this and make it better for everybody while sticking with this system.

Speaking of streamlining...

We are looking for AC helpers!

So. There are three of us! Lucy, Megan, Ty. For a long while the three of us were perfectly capable of being able to get through AC as quickly and efficiently as possible, and then one day we blinked and realized there's over 150 of you and only three of us. With the game growing every app cycle (something which still amazes us and we continue to be excited and grateful for), we've realized that in order to continue being efficient with AC we will need to divide up the duties a little bit.

For anyone interested, this would only be for AC and we would need your help as soon as the AC period closes at 12am EST on the first of each month! We would write up a list of guidelines and give access to view the documents we use to crosscheck AC and work with you to confirm that AC standards are met and nobody is accidentally miscalculating bonus points. Further details will be discussed with anyone interested. Should you be interested, please hit our mod contact post or PM us.

That said...we're finally done! We will put up your plot post tomorrow, group assignments will go out tomorrow, and the drop list should be finalized tomorrow as well. Thank you guys so much for everything, and we're excited to see you in August!
