PLOT POST - AUGUST Welcome to our August plotting post! Please feel free to comment to these posts with your character's plans for the month or with what you would like to do for the month, and feel free to discuss those plans with everyone else! Here is the mod questions thread! MOD BULLETIN BOARD -After the overall success of this last AC period, we will be making the minor adjustments needed in our verbiage for clarity purposes and moving forward from here! Check out this post about some AC guidelines and notes. We hope to have a revised version of our AC expectations outlined in the next week or so long before the next AC period. -As notated in the post linked above, we are looking for some AC helpers! If you would like to assist, please send a PM or a comment to the mod contact. We will address those interested shortly! -With a TDM coming this month, we would like to remind players that all current characters may use any tags on the TDM as bonus points! Players apping new characters this round may report their TDM tags on their very first AC for bonus points as well. -As mentioned previously, we will have an opportunity for a monthly freebie every month going forward! However, we would like to clarify that all freebie regains must be applied for before the end of the AC period! We do not accept freebies beyond this barring specific circumstances. -Additionally, please remember there is no limit to how many regains you can earn in a month! Though you need one for your AC, you're free to claim as many as allotted for the month so you have time to pick and choose which one to link for AC. -Please be sure to keep your registries up to date with both memories and abilities! A good habit to get into is updating your registry as soon as the notification from us is received. This not only helps you remember what your character already knows, but it also helps us so that we can judge future regains accordingly based on what your character has already obtained. -Our last note for the bulletin board is a friendly reminder to please use your character tags to tag yourself on posts and logs! This helps keep things organized not only for us but for your gamemates as well. In addition, if there is an error with your character tag or you need us to change anything, please let us know. IMPORTANT DATES 1st AC Results 3rd Retrospec Post, Event Logs, Task 1 Start (9PM EST) 10th AU Workshop, Task 1 End (8PM EST), Task 2 Start (9PM EST) 17th Reserves/TDM, Task 2 End (8PM EST), Task 3 Start (9PM EST) 24th Applications Open, Task 3 End (8PM EST), End of plot log 25th Retrospec Post 31st AC Due, Applications Close see our calendar for a look at upcoming dates this month and further! WORLD CHANGES While several world changes have been purchased and goals have been reached, none of them will be in effect until the Retrospec post on the 25th; we will detail them further at that time! This is due to the game-wide plot currently going on. -There has been a new list of karaoke songs added to the city of Recollé! These songs can now be found in karaoke bars and machines all across the city and even can be sold on CDs for your own karaoke parties. -The Crow's Nest now has locations across the world, including a brand new location right in the heart of Recollé! After August's plot wraps up, be sure to grab a bite to eat and say hi to Kenny Crow. -Finally, the city has regained the second tier for the color green! This means visual media regains the selected color. This applies to all forms of film whether watching on-screen, online, or reviewing videos PCs recorded prior to the loss of color. Be sure to check out our world changes page over here and our world regains page to track all changes. Players are free to buy back certain aspects of their canon (such as the above karaoke or fast food restaurant) to help impact and change the world as well. EVENTS This month's event is our game-wide August extravaganza in which you guys have signed yourselves up and split into groups! We will be replying to you all individually about your small groups, but for reference, here are the lists. GROUP ONE Team Absinthe: Meet and greet toplevel here. Team Brandywine: Meet and greet toplevel here. Team Cognac: Meet and greet toplevel here. Team Daiquiri: Meet and greet toplevel here. Team Ethanol: Meet and greet toplevel here. GROUP TWO Team Peter Pan: Meet and greet toplevel here. Team Snow White: Meet and greet toplevel here. Team Tarzan: Meet and greet toplevel here. Team Yzma: Meet and greet toplevel here. GROUP THREE Group Three Please use this post to reach out to your teammates, familiarize yourselves with them, do some light plotting or set up private plurks or discords or however you guys want to get together! Tomorrow, groups one and two will get their individual logs with more information about task one as well. Of note, please remember that groups one and three both will have access to the network and can interact with each other once the mod-posted Retrospec post goes live. Group two however will not! The entire game will have access again post-event. August's Freebie is as follows: -For characters in groups one or two, we must see ten consecutive comments from you for each task in order to qualify for a freebie memory! (So a total of 30 comments, 10 per objective week) -For characters in group three, to qualify for a freebie we ask for the same amount of comments in the same time period showing your character corresponding with someone in group one during their task weeks. This means 30 comments from you broken down into no more than 3 threads! Remember: freebies are not the only way to earn memories this month! For those in group three who would like to forgo this, you may thread as you normally do to trigger your own memories for the month. -For your reference, check out the plot clues/finds page found here! This is all for OOC knowledge, though characters have been spreading the information ICly as well. As of this post, this plot page is up to date. -Additionally, if you haven't yet be sure to check out the regains guide to help outline what kind of triggers will work for obtaining regains and memories in-game.
