As noted in your acceptance notification, we also ask that new characters not do inbox threads involving the Retrospec app or world changes or the like until they are officially granted access to the rest of the comms (TDM threads of course can be continued). Characters will still be at NPC status without the ability to recognize any oddities until the Retrospec post is up at 9PM EST on the 1st!

Hey all, it's Annabel (player of Peko Pekoyama saburai) and Mion Sonozaki penalizing), bringing in a third character because I apparently have no chill.

This here's Junpei Tenmyouji from the Zero Escape series of video games. In Recolle, he's a 24 y/o rookie cop dreaming of one day making detective... but in the meantime is probably doing much less exciting things. He grew up in the city and graduated from Recolle U 2-ish years ago, so he's been around for a while. In general, he's kind of a sarcastic and snarky person who loves to make jokes and puns. There's more information about him on his app over here, for anyone interested.

As usual, I can be reached over at seasidekingdom for any plotting/contact needs (just have some indication that you're from Recolle before adding!). Additionally, his AU workshop comment's over here if anyone wanted to work anything out last-minute.

Hi there, Recolle! I'm a fresh face here going by the name of Len and today I'll be bringing in a twin that goes by the name of Shion Sonozaki, from that one visual novel series Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. She's a very lively young teenage girl that likes to tease people in her canon that tends to have yandere tendencies which probably won't pop up here, I'm sure. It probably won't be coming up anytime soon, but her memories will be dealing with a part of the canon that isn't out on the Steam version just yet, so if anybody who is going by the Steam release would like to avoid spoilers for that, just give me a heads up and I'll definitely avoid them for you.

As for her AU, she'll be going by the name of Mio Sonozaki here - her first name written with the kanji for love and sound because I like to think I'm witty - and is the heir of the Sonozaki family but doesn't want to be so she's trying to marry herself off so that she can be herself and do whatever she wants in life. More important details can be found at her application here for those who are interested, and I'm definitely game for working for some pre-game CR.

Fair warning though: she will tease people she likes until the end of time but she's also a good older sister (just a bad influence sometimes) that's trying her best. 'Trying' being the key word here. She's also the better sister. Don't let Mion Kotone tell you guys otherwise.

Hello! I'm Card, with Mafuyu Kurosaki buncho from Oresama Teacher, and now Minato Arisato compendiem from Persona 3! A quick overview of his Recolle AU can be found here, but in short, Minato moved to Recollé near the beginning of October, is studying pre-vet, works at Expressive/veterinary clinic/senior dog sanctuary, plays the clarinet, and likes wandering the city. His workshop comment is here if you'd like to establish pre-existing CR, and my plurk is birdseed if you'd like to talk things out there!

If our characters have pre-existing CR, or you know you want to pursue CR with Minato, feel free to drop a comment over at his cr chart; in the Persona series, "social links" are the relationships the protagonists make, and are associated with an Arcana. This is just something extra and fun, and lets me/Minato get a better sense of your character's personality.

Hello! My name is Zero and I am new here in Recolle. With me I have Eizen from Tales of Berseria. If you’re not familiar with ToB, it’s about a bunch of chuunibyous villains who save the world. Eizen is a 1000 year old earth spirit who is also a pirate and travels the seas with his crew. He’s also insanely cursed and brings misfortune to others since he’s a Reaper. It’s great.

He’s obviously not a 1000 year old earth spirit pirate named Eizen in Recolle . Here, he’s a 32 year old man named Isaac McKinstry who owns a pawn shop full time (that is supposedly haunted) and is a host part time because money is a thing he needs. Artifacts and other shit is stuff he loves which is why he loves his pawn shop. He’s big brotherly, but he’s a big backer of tough love so he probably comes off harsh a lot of the time even though he honestly means well. His AU workshop is here if you want to work out some CR before the game starts.

This is Sandalio de Rabiffano from the Parasol Protectorate Verse. In his canon he's a werewolf living in Victorian England and is an Alpha who is very in love with the wolf who will be his Beta. In Recolle he is a young man from Spain known as Sandalio Rabiffano (nickname Biffy) who moved here to live with his music teacher who he was dating. They've since broken up and now he attends university studying music. He currently lives with a roommate in a nice-ish apartment and works at a bakery to support himself. Hello, hello! I'm new as new as can be - my name is Crystal, but for the sake of not getting confused with the other Crystal, you may just call me Crystal #2, or the Slightly Average Crystal, or Dark Lord Crystal, or The Crystal Who Death Forgot. (But seriously, just call me whatever you want.) I'm here bringing in H.P. Lovecraft from the anime/manga Bungou Stray Dogs, a canon where the authors from your high school reading list all have superpowers and beat each other up.

H.P. Lovecraft (significantly not at all racist and 100% better than his RL counterpart) is a perfectly normal individual who does not have any dark and monstrous secrets in any way. That is, to say, he's actually a giant weirdo who is kind of sort of Cthulhu stuffed into a human suit. In Recolle, though, he's a 28-year-old shut-in writer/history professor's assistant at Recolle U and goes by the name of Howard Phillips Carter, and spends most of his time sleeping in strange places, petting every single cat he sees, eating sweets instead of normal food, being afraid of general social interaction and obsessing over how scary/amazing the ocean is. He's still a giant weirdo, but at least he's not an eldritch monstrosity from your darkest nightmares! Not yet, anyways...

This is Kana here again (Fynn Rygdea rygdea) bringing back Gentiana from Final Fantasy XV. She was here last time during game opening but had to drop her once my activity really started to slip.

I won't talk too much about her but she'll be a English Professor over at Recollé University much like last time. She knows that she was once on Retrospec before but won't have much memory about that. Thankfully, she's slowly catching up to speed most likely with Togusa's help.

Gentiana or rather "Miss Illyria" to her students is actually a famed poet thanks to her poetry series titled "Ama-gi". Her poems deal with accepting loss and the unique relationship she had with her deceased foster mother while trying to find her birth mother.

It's one of her most famous works that she written when she was still in high school. Gentiana has done other works as well throughout the years but now she's focusing on writing a novel.

Hi guys! My name is Kiri and I'm new around here! I'm bringing you Kairi from Kingdom Hearts, that one series about friendship and disney and sometimes Sephiroth is there.

Her name for her AU is Marina Hartmann, senior in high school, and she's a troublesome one who likes to go on adventures to forbidden places and be a general all-around hooligan while she's still young and can live it up. She's an adrenaline junkie and loves the horror genre, and while she kind of emphasizes a lot of Kairi's bad traits, things like being reckless, hot headed and stubborn, she's a nice girl who's friendly and kind and easy to get along with. She just moved into town in October from a small town in California, so she's a bit shell shocked at the new city life (and quite a bit miffed at the change in general). For those who are more familiar with the F/SN variety of Shinji, this one is a little different - for one thing, he's eight years old, and for another thing he's not a complete tool. Zack (full name Zackary Fairweather) is a twenty-six year old farmboy and newbie to the city coming here to live as he rehabilitates from an injury he sustained while on duty in the military. Hello, Recolle! I'm January, and while I've played here briefly before, I'm mostly a newbie bringing in my first, aka Bruno von Granzreich from The Royal Tutor!

In canon, he's basically a prince, nerd, puppy dog, and mom friend rolled into one, while in his AU (where he'll be going by the less pretentious name of Bruno Mayer), he's... pretty much the same thing, except some rich kid instead of royalty and a high school student. He's generally a good guy and very invested in others' lives, but, uh, extremely straight-laced (if dramatic at the weirdest times) and a huge nag.

Hi guys! Caprica here! I already have Sakura Kinomoto here, from CLAMP's Cardcaptor Sakura, and this here is now my second, for someone quite different and who I was tossing on also apping back with the previous app cycle. Yuichiro Hyakuya, or, Yuichiro Amane here, since he'll not be taking on the name of the orphanage he went to in canon, and actually remember his canon surname.

Basically, he's a typically reckless shounen idiot who will do anything and I mean anything (he....literally dies at one point in the series because he is so stupidly stubborn and protective over his 'family'. It's fine, he gets better) for his family/friends. Surface Jerk/Tsun with a Heart of Gold deal sort of thing. Though he really wears his heart on his sleeve, honestly. In canon he joins the military and has what is called a Cursed Gear - basically, a weapon with a demon sealed inside, in helping the humans fight and defeat the vampires who took over his home. I have the details in his app in his journal here if anyone is curious, but that's going to be Fun to regain with that possession potential.

Basically, au wise, he is still a military brat and has been adopted by a foster father who moved around with his work but is now at Recolle, having initially been born in Japan. He's still a reckless idiot, stubborn and oblivious in some ways but less of a comparative hot head and is more open and friendly due to being.....way...less traumatized than canon. Yuu in au will actually be doing okay in school and not basically be illiterate because again, au and he didn't have the same circumstances with canon and his neglected education there. He's still debating between the military, being a mechanic or doing some sort of social work in helping other kids like him. He has a little time to decide? Since he's sixteen still. He's totally got this. Probably.

'Sup, Recolle!! I'm Luna and I'm brand-spanking new to Recolle (though there's a good chance I may have played with some of you guys in games in the past!!), and I'm bringing in Syaoran Li from that one CLAMP series that doesn't destroy people's hearts, aka Cardcaptor Sakura! In canon, he's a serious, prickly kid from a family of Big Deal magicians in Hong Kong (and a descendant of the most Big Deal magician of them all, Clow Reed), with badass sword skills and magic skills and should have totally been the one to own the Clow Cards, jeez?? Except thanks to the power of teamwork and ~shoujo~, Syaoran goes from bitter, competive rival to blushy, awkward tsundere, harboring the biggest and most obvious crush on Sakura, and eventually they wind up together and it's ADORABLE.

In Recolle, he goes by Xiaolang Li (although he prefers Li or Lee because it's easier to read than Xiaolang) and he's a 13 year old AP/Honor student at Recolle Middle School from a family who's a Big Deal when it comes to science and engineering! Personality-wise, he's largely the same as canon, aside from the fact his character development got dialed back a ton, as well as a focus on science instead of magic! His mother intends for him to help take over the family business someday, so he's VERY SERIOUS about his studies and his extra-curriculars (not to mention highly passionate about things like robotics and programming) although part of the reason his mother sent him to study on his own is so he can get better at socialization and networking, which... he's still hopeless at, haha! AT LEAST HE HAS ONE PERSON HE CARES ABOUT IN THE FORM OF SAKURA, but that's totally because they're friends, honestly!! Hello, this is Hotaru, player of Koutarou Takao, with a second character.

This guy is Gon from Hoozuki no Reitetsu. In canon he's a hell fox who's more or less a lazy, gambling addicted con-man that works for a greater kitsune, but in Recolle he's just a human.

Gon's AU name will be Kiyoshi Nanashima, and that's the name that will be written on Retrospec's app. Though in town he's known as Kiyoshi Aihara. He'll love having his true name exposed. He's 41 years old, he works at a tea house called Chabana, where anyone who wants to can sign up their character to be staff/regular/affiliated, too. All sorts of people will be needed, even an owner. Kiyoshi though! He has two cats, one dog, a niece, and a child that's tops 12 living with him. The tops12yo is currently an npc and was dumped on his doorstep when it was a little child. He's got a somewhat complicated background with yakuza relations and abandonment, but he tries not to think about that. He's very friendly and cheerful and really likes people.

Hey! If I have the timing of Gon's history right then he was in Japan when Iwai betrayed a bunch of criminal heads (this would have included the yakuza). He tricked a bunch of them into thinking they were getting real guns then gave them a shipment of airsoft rifles before skipping town. Also when he was in Japan he was one of the biggest names in arms deals so every family knew to go to him for weapons.

So maybe even if they don't know each other perhaps Kiyoshi has heard of Munehisa Iwai? Anyway he currently runs an airsoft/paintball shop and has been in Recolle around 24-25 years now.

But yeah! I think it could be fun if they ran into each other!

This is Stark, player of Felicia (maidhem), bringing in my second character already because my impulse control matches the muse.

Case in point: Mordred here, from Fate/Apocrypha, is incredibly impulsive-- and that won't be changing too terribly much in Recolle either. She'll be a 17 year old high school delinquent here, with a reputation and record of petty theft and vandalism... and rumors of borrowing a police chocobo overnight which may or may not be true.

She's on the path of doing better for herself, she swears it.

She's from the series Code Geass. She is a sweet, kind but stubborn person who is always willing to give others the benefit of the doubt!

In Recolle she's the daughter of two actors and lived in London until she was 12 years old. Until she turned 17 she was homeschooled and she finished early so she will be a college student here, a first year one, she's going for her teaching degree to be a school teacher!

Hey, Recolle! I'm Wind, brand new to the game, and I'm bringing in Kamui from Gintama. That's right, Gintama, that ridiculous animanga full of poop and penis jokes.

Kamui himself is a homicidal alien space pirate who likes to wax poetic about how he's the best romcom lead because he's responsible enough to kill all his love interests before he gets them pregnant. He's a terrible person and an even more terrible older brother, but he does sort of redeem himself. By saving the main characters' lives so that he can properly duel them to the death at a later date. Character development, ladies and gentlemen!

In Recolle, he's the eccentric eldest son of Mrs. Elizabeth Brisby. He attends general ed college classes just enough to be known around campus but not enough to have decided on a major, and he runs an internet business crafting custom blades. Other than at Recolle U, he can be found recklessly diving into fighting circles around the city and bar hopping on his endless quest to convince a bartender to serve him alcohol even though he's only nineteen. This Kamui isn't a nihilistic assassin like his canon buddy, but he's still a terrible person and terrible big brother, and I hope you all enjoy his dumb jokes.

Hello! I'm a bit late (on holidays), but it's nice to see you! This is Jisu, new player in with the DC Super Hero Girls version of Supergirl!




Supergirl (who hasn't really gone by Kara since her planet blew up, since the show follows the same rules as the Teen Titans cartoon) is a clumsy, awkward teenager who also happens to be one of the most powerful supers on the planet. Accidents tend to ensue, at least at first. Here, she's Kara Lee, a shy foster kid who wants to be positive but tries not to stick out for fear she'll make mistakes. This never really goes all that well for her.

Hello again, Recolle!! I'm Kippie, I'm back with a simpler character - Mrs. Brisby, from the movie like ten of you have watched, The Secret of N.I.M.H.!

Mrs. Brisby is, in canon, a devoted single mother trying to save her child's life and her family home. She braves all kinds of danger, from the farmer's plow to visiting the hovel of an owl in order to save her son. She meets the rats of N.I.M.H., who knew her late husband fondly and reveal their secrets - as well as the secrets of her late husband. If you guys haven't watched the movie before or haven't watched it in a long time, I would highly recommend watching it again!

In Recolle, she's nearly a decade after her exhausting and traumatic attempts to rescue her child from pneumonia. For now, her child in game is Kamui, with a couple of other boys planning on applying next cycle. She has quite rowdy children! But it's quite likely Mrs. Brisby is your mother's friend, or has worked with the school to meet you, or you may know her from her work in the local farmer's market. Despite her rowdy family, she herself tries to be friendly and polite!

Her human icons are a WIP so please bear with me, hahah.

Hello everyone!

This is wolf, player of Bolin (tuffguy) from Legend of Korra here with my second character, Frederick from Fire Emblem: Awakening!

In canon, Frederick is the unit that keeps you from dying until you can level grind I mean-- no, I mean that. He's also a royal knight that dutifully guards the royal family and doesn't do things to embarrass them at all. Nope. Not at all. But he means well.

In Recolle, Frederick is a military veteran and now works for the police department as part of the Chocobo mounted unit. He's the adoptive father of an emo teenager and he's eager to try and find ways to have that good ol' father-son bonding with him.

Heyhey!♥ I'm Card with Minato (Persona 3) and Mafuyu (Oresama Teacher) and I'm really excited to see Frederick here! :D Mafuyu might purposely give him a hard time on the merit of being a police officer, but Minato's chill and would be :( if he found out about Frederick's fear of wild animals because Minato generally likes animals. He'll also be D: about seeing him at the gym because lmao he feels like he's going to die even with the lightest of workouts, Frederick's training would be something to watch and marvel at

Hello everyone it's Marie, player of Sakura Matou imaginex, here with the long-legged disaster known as Sanji from One Piece. Originally a shit-talking pirate chef with an eye for the ladies, now he's just. An asshole. What happened? The Vinsmokes happened and aggressively shat all over his childhood.

So yeah, he's not as kindhearted as his canon counterpart, whoops. The Jerk with the Heart of Gold is currently a Jerk with gold pieces stuck up his ass, and a business major at Recolleé to boot. He's learning to get better and will feel terrible once his memories come back, but he's got both daddy and trust issues up the wazoo. And also zero chill.

Also no spiral eyebrow, I can't believe I live in this world. Someone needs to help me regain that immediately.
