⛄ THE EVENT

That's right! Your local volunteer association ReVA is organizing this event, spearheaded by two of its coordinators Minako Arisato (complementing) and Terra Mason (lingeringwill), who are played by me (Rayne) and AJ respectively!

ReVA is organizing this charity drive to celebrate the season and encourage the spreading of some hearty holiday spirit. Participants will be performing CHORES in the city. Doing so will earn them TICKETS, which will enter them in a PRIZE DRAWING. Because giving back to the community will give you a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart, but a free present for yourself would be even better, right? There will also be a WINTER FESTIVAL at the conclusion of the charity drive for characters to party it up at! Here's the timetable:

＊ November 18th ==========> sign ups start
＊ December 2nd, 12AM PST ===> sign ups end, chore list distribution, final prize tiers revealed
＊ December 3rd-16th =======> threading and ticket reporting period
＊ December 16th, 12AM PST ===> end of reporting period
＊ December 17th ==========> winter festival log and announcement of RNG’d prize winners

Now to explain what all this means!

🎁 THE CHORES AND THE PRIZES: CHORES LIST | PRIZE DONATIONS

The acts of charity that participants will be involved in are outlined in the GDoc above, titled CHORES LIST.

Teams will be given a randomized 3 chores to perform on December 2nd. Performing 1 CHORE (a minimum of 5 comments per character, for 10 comments total) and reporting the thread to your team's top level earns each character 1 TICKET.

Prizes will come in a tiered system like so, and in general there will be a lot prizes to win thanks to ReVA's budget for the event. The listed prizes are only examples, and we are taking IC prize donations at every tier, but especially for the grand prize! The final prize list will be announced on December 2nd, midnight PST.

＊ 1 Ticket ====> Automatic entry into the grand prize
＊ 2 Tickets ===> Tier 1 Prizes (Nerf guns, gift cards, giant inflatable hammer, etc)
＊ 3 Tickets ===> Tier 2 Prizes (single day free entry tickets to various city attractions, free dinner for 4 at a local AYCE buffet restaurant, etc)
＊ 4 Tickets ===> Tier 3 Prizes (free dinner for 2 at a fancy restaurant, a GoPro camera, a Nintendo Switch, etc)
＊ 5+ Tickets ==> Grand Prize (includes a $1000 donation to a charity of the winner's choice)

Ticket amounts are cumulative, i.e. you only need 2 tickets/2 threads in order to be entered into the Tier 1 prize drawing, not 3 tickets/3 threads.

Thanks to our lovely mods, players can also earn a MEMORY REGAIN FREEBIE in December for their characters if they obtain 2 tickets. That is to say, players are eligible for the freebie if they participate in 2 threads and report 2 tickets for their character. Please report these as normal to the regains page once either AJ or I approve your threads.

🔔 THE SIGN UPS AND TICKETS: CHORE TEAMS | TICKET TEAMS | RNG A PARTNER

For this event, there are two kinds of teams. The first kind are the CHORE TEAMS. The chore teams are made up of two characters only. These will who will be performing the chores! If you have a partner, have one person report the paired team to the CHORE TEAMS top level above. Alternatively, you can submit your character's name to a list at the RNG A PARTNER top level to request a random partner.

The second kind of teams are the TICKET TEAMS. Ticket teams can be different from the chore teams and do not have to be limited to just two characters! Participants are allowed to pool their tickets together with friends to try for higher tiers of prizes, so have one person from the group the team to the TICKET TEAMS top level above if that's the case. Just know that prizes won't be doubled, etc. for larger groups, so characters will have to agree to split the prize if they win something.

Whether you're entering in the prize drawings by yourself or as a group, please make sure that your character is accounted for in both the CHORE TEAMS and TICKET TEAMS top levels!

A side note: ICly, characters are given their tickets by whoever is overseeing their charity chore, i.e. the store’s manager, the caroling troupe master, the YMCA leader, and so on.
