PLOT POST - March Welcome to our March plotting post! Please feel free to comment to these posts with your character's plans for the month or with what you would like to do for the month, and feel free to discuss those plans with everyone else! Here is the mod questions thread! MOD BULLETIN BOARD -March will be a housekeeping month for the modteam! We will be going through and updating pages, the FAQ list, the regains guide, and more. Please bear with us as we tidy up as we launch into phase two of the game. -Speaking of phase two, we are officially here! Please read below for more information on what this means. -Due to recent shifts in the playerbase, we are down a few AC helpers and would love to have more on deck! If you would like to help us process AC at the end of every month, please send us a PM or leave a note on the mod contact page. -We will have an opportunity for a monthly freebie every month going forward! However, we would like to clarify that all freebie regains must be applied for before the end of the AC period! We do not accept freebies beyond this barring specific circumstances. -Additionally, please remember there is no limit to how many regains you can earn in a month! Though you need one memory regain for your AC, you're free to claim as many as allotted for the month so you have time to pick and choose which one to link for AC. -While freebies can be submitted at any point in the month, we would like to remind players that per the regains guide, we do ask that the last tag from you on a thread submitted for regular memory regains be no older than 14 days. -We also ask that players do not trigger their own memories prior to clearing things with us! It's part of the game mechanic for regains to be done the way that they are, so this means we ask players not to have their characters feel memories coming on, etc. -Please be sure to keep your registries up to date with both memories and abilities! A good habit to get into is updating your registry as soon as the notification from us is received. This not only helps you remember what your character already knows, but it also helps us so that we can judge future regains accordingly based on what your character has already obtained. -We would like to use this time to provide a friendly reminder to please use your character tags to tag yourself on posts and logs! This helps keep things organized not only for us but for your gamemates as well. In addition, if there is an error with your character tag or you need us to change anything, please let us know. IMPORTANT DATES 1st Retrospec Post 9PM EST 3rd Founder's Day Parade sign-ups close at 7PM EST, Event log at 9PM EST, Participation/Freebies for February's event due at 11:59pm EST 4th Event feedback & new info posts go live at 9PM EST 11th AU Workshop 18th TDM, Reserves 31st AC Due, Applications close (11:59PM EST), EMP see our calendar for a look at upcoming dates this month and further! WORLD CHANGES • The Sorceror's Stone from the Little Witch Academia canon now exists in the city! This mostly looks like a giant pretty stone, but there is some magical energy attached to it. Those with magical roots will be able to sense it, but currently only those from LWA will be able to get a magical boost from the stone as per their canon. Be sure to check out our world changes page over here and our world regains page to track all changes and read up on our guidelines. Players are free to buy back certain aspects of their canon to help impact and change the world as well, though we may delay the installment of some features for plot purposes. Of note: players are allowed to help contribute to buying world changes not from their own canon. Players may donate up to 100 points to another player's cause. When donating points to a canon buyback, please put them on the same world change page here! Please note, these are only for world changes and not items/powers/personal locations/etc. WORLD CHANGES FOR PHASE TWO Do you have extra points laying around? Are you interested in changing the setting of the game bit by bit? Well do we have a deal for you. Beginning in March 2018, players may contribute points toward bringing back world patches representing their canons that other players may explore outside of the city! -What does this mean? Great question! Let's say you're playing a character and they have a shopping district that's important to their canon. You may now use your points to begin buying back these regions to "grow" and pop-up outside of the city for players to explore. The IC explanation will not be a poll like other world changes, but rather marked down as having a high enough soul energy reading that the area can be reconstructed thanks to the restoration project. Characters may also take quests in these new areas. -Quests? Please see below for more info! -How much will this cost? We will take these on a case by case basis especially based on cast-size! Depending on cast-size, some canon places may only be bought by members of a particular cast. For casts that have fewer members (think 3 or less) we will be willing to discuss a crowdfunding option for you to regain areas to open up to the game. Keep in mind this is just for areas and not for personal regains or canon-based buildings/shops/items! Further clarification will go up on the world regains page on 3/4. EVENTS This month's events will be fairly lowkey in terms of events. On 3/3 all event groups will be wrapped up and finalized and freed from their assignments! Retrospec thanks you for your volunteering and looks forward to working with you again. Thanks to several members of the city heading underground and going through the rescue mission, Mayor Mayer and all other important NPCs have returned to Recollé safe and sound! The mayor will provide a city address about these events and his experiences that may bring a few things to light for the citizens of Recollé. With the rescue of the mayor, however, comes the Founder's Day celebration! You didn't think the mayor would miss that, did you? Though it's a month late, Founder's Day will go forward with its sales, its festivities and most importantly its parade! Please see this comment to sign up to be RNG'd for the Founder's Day Royalty to participate in the parade itself. Signups for this will close at 7PM EST on 3/3. But that seems sort of...silly, doesn't it? After everything that's happened in the last month, it's ridiculous to go backwards and pretend that everything is okay and normal again. Some of you may want to take a break for the month of March and you deserve it! You worked hard, you played hard, and with spring around the corner it's nice to think about just relaxing with your friends and loved ones. On the other hand some of you may have received a taste for adventure in the last few weeks. Thanks to citizens of the city working with the Recollé Restoration Initiative in exploring the land and drafting layouts for roads, several pathways have opened up for everyone to explore Pesgare, Respatrum, Bosuma, and Magnatus. These areas are now officially open and there will be stirrings and activities and some miniature events happening in these locations as well for you to explore and venture out to your heart's content. Travel time remains the same but you may come and go as you please. We will provide a secondary location's page with more information as well. RESTORATION QUESTS Your friendly neighborhood NPC, Zee Carlisle, has been monitoring you and your progress, Retrospecters. Assessments have been finalized and files have been updated, but this NPC isn't going away. As a hiring manager, Zee will be interested in enlisting several characters for new adventures, quests, and volunteer assignments going forward in phase two. -What does this mean? Starting in March, players may sign up to claim a restoration quest spot assigned by the NPC for things to do in-game! These may range anywhere from exploring a new portion of a region for research, rescue missions, taking out large monstrous threats in areas, fetch quests and more. Quests will be assigned as people sign up and customized per player/group! (Groups should be no more than six and no fewer than two.) For now, there will be ten slots per month! Players may not double up on these slots, and for now we do ask that players who take a quest must wait one month before requesting another slot (i.e. if you take a slot in March, your next available slot will be in May unless you are part of a selected group.) You may pick partners to quest with and we will discuss further details of arrangements and more at the time of request. In addition, successful quests will net you additional bonus points! These will be based on difficulty of quest and effort put into the quest. -What else does this mean? Zee's inbox is permanently open for characters to speak to him regarding quests, plot things and more! While these threads are not eligible for AC or bonus points, if you wish for your character to get a little more hands-on this option is available to you. The quest board page will go live on 3/4! While we will not have pre-assigned/pre-written quests for you to pick from, we will have a form for you to pick out and provide you with a draft before finalizing your quest. FREEBIE -This month's freebie will require one thread from the mod-posted Restrospec post on the 1st featuring at least ten consecutive comments from you with another character. As usual, this regain should be turned into our regains request post with "March Freebie" and the qualifying thread link in the explanation section! As notated above, this freebie will not qualify past March. -Additionally, please remember that the event freebies from last month will only be able to be applied for through to 11:59PM EST on 3/3, due to the event officially ending then. We will not be reviewing or accepting any submissions for these after that. -For your reference, check out the plot clues/finds page found here! This is all for OOC knowledge, though characters have been spreading the information ICly as well. As of this post, this plot page is up to date. -Additionally, if you haven't yet be sure to check out the regains guide to help outline what kind of triggers will work for obtaining regains and memories in-game.
