FASHION SHOW

Hello everyone, this is Erica (anacrusis), and I have an important question.

Do you want a fashion show? Because I want a fashion show.

Li-Na is going to see that suggestion from Zee and run with it. I started hashing it out on my plurk, but I know there are a lot of characters with interests in fashion or modeling and I wanted to put this out there for everyone. There's a lot of ways we could play with this and I think it'll be really fun.


T H E  S H O W

At the moment, I think the log itself will be broken up into a few different phases. Preparation, for characters who help set up the show (ie prep the clothes, set up the stage, cater the food). Backstage, for getting the models dolled up and and pre- or post-walk chatter. Catwalk, for actual modeling and strutting of stuff. Afterparty, because why not have champange and hors d'oeuvre?

Date-wise, I'm thinking IC-ly the 23rd, log going up on the 17th, so there's plenty of time to thread and submit for regains.


P A R T I C I P A N T S

We will need more than just models. There's hairdressers, clothing handlers, designers, makeup artists, a DJ or two, photographers, stage hands, caterers, sponsors (like for real, this has to get paid for somehow). Feel free to suggest other ways to participate! ATM I will limit the models to 20 (of which 6 slots are already taken), simply because if we get all models, that limits the types of interactions that can occur. No limits on other positions.

Please describe your style: On her own Mariko has three speeds:
- Bad Ass Professional for when she’s working out of her office which is sort of like masc leaning - button ups, slacks and shoes
- Tomboy/IDGAF Sexy which is like the sort of overly comfy jeans, t-shirts, altered sweats, sneakers etc which avoid looking too boyish because of her figure
- Femme Fatale which is what she brings out a ‘work appropriate’ version for social events with fellow law enforcement and a slightly racier ‘I don’t intend on having this on at 2 am’ variant for when she’s looking to up her body count

That said, this is a fashion show that is going to actually have consequences, so she will tolerate whatever theme the show ends up having

Please describe your style: Sweater vests as far as the eye can see His style is fairly preppy! Button up shirts, ties, casual but nice jackets, slacks more often than jeans-- maybe the occasional star, wing or moon motif in there somewhere in there somewhere too because CLAMP likes to be unsubtle about that stuff!

I'm 100% okay with having him wear some extremely extra/fancy outfits out of his norm, though (because CLAMP likes to be super unnecessary over his artbook pictures) or even just having him in a dress because XIAOLANG CANNOT FULLY BE SYAORAN UNLESS HE CROSSDRESSES, IT'S JUST LAW

- Flexible: Essentially he can wear whatever and looks make in male clothes and female in female clothes. As a professional model he's used to using those features to show off lots of looks.

So Kenta has always refused to model because he didn't want his face out there. He might be persuaded to be dragged on stage if absolutely needed for this one thing, but one of his little known talents is that he is a really good make-up artist because Jirou taught him how to do it. He can also do hair if it's not too complicated.
