PLOT POST - July Welcome to our July plotting post! Please feel free to comment to these posts with your character's plans for the month or with what you would like to do for the month, and feel free to discuss those plans with everyone else! Here is the mod questions thread! MOD BULLETIN BOARD -As mentioned last month, we will be proceeding with a series of events that will be chained together, building off of each other and influenced by player involvement! Events from now until October will be part of a set series of continuous effects and influences. -The next app around will not be until the end of September to allow for a smooth operation with the game's plot and chain of events. New characters will arrive in June, and the next opportunity for new characters to arrive will be October. -Due to recent shifts in the playerbase, we are down a few AC helpers and would love to have more on deck! If you would like to help us process AC at the end of every month, please send us a PM or leave a note on the mod contact page. -We will have an opportunity for a monthly freebie every month going forward! However, we would like to clarify that all freebie regains must be applied for before the end of the AC period! We do not accept freebies beyond this barring specific circumstances. -Additionally, please remember there is no limit to how many regains you can earn in a month! Though you need one memory regain for your AC, you're free to claim as many as allotted for the month so you have time to pick and choose which one to link for AC. -While freebies can be submitted at any point in the month, we would like to remind players that per the regains guide, we do ask that the last tag from you on a thread submitted for regular memory regains be no older than 14 days. -We also ask that players do not trigger their own memories prior to clearing things with us! It's part of the game mechanic for regains to be done the way that they are, so this means we ask players not to have their characters feel memories coming on, etc. -Please be sure to keep your registries up to date with both memories and abilities! A good habit to get into is updating your registry as soon as the notification from us is received. This not only helps you remember what your character already knows, but it also helps us so that we can judge future regains accordingly based on what your character has already obtained. -In addition, please be aware that a regain is only eligible for AC if it has been approved by us in the current AC month! Even if it's a backdated thread if the memory is triggered in the current month and receives an approval comment from us this will count! However, regains that are not approved by us are not eligible for AC and will count as a strike. Please be sure to turn your regains in early to ensure they are reviewed prior to AC! -We would like to use this time to provide a friendly reminder to please use your character tags to tag yourself on posts and logs! This helps keep things organized not only for us but for your gamemates as well. In addition, if there is an error with your character tag or you need us to change anything, please let us know. -FINALLY, please see this comment to list any AU journals you will be using for July's event! IMPORTANT DATES 1st Retrospec Post 9PM EST 3rd Event log at 9PM EST 28th EMP 31st AC Due see our calendar for a look at upcoming dates this month and further! WORLD CHANGES • Out somewhere just between Pesgare and the city of Recollé, a new island appears. The Central Island of Jabberwock Island from Super Dangan Ronpa 2 is now a part of the game world’s landscape. This area contains a park, the Jabberwock Island statue, and a courtroom. • Meanwhile, from the Persona 3 and Persona 5 canon, the shadow nests known as Tartarus and Mementos are now game canon! These nests are home to several shadows, but only Pixie, Slime, Unicorn and Anubis exist currently. These places are capable of hosting small missions for those with slightly distorted hearts and for training purposes. Be sure to check out our world changes page over here and our world regains page to track all changes and read up on our guidelines. Players are free to buy back certain aspects of their canon to help impact and change the world as well, though we may delay the installment of some features for plot purposes. Players may also contribute points toward bringing back world patches representing their canons that other players may explore outside of the city! Please see the world changes page for more information. Of note: players are allowed to help contribute to buying world changes not from their own canon. Players may donate up to 500 points to another player's cause. When donating points to a canon buyback, please put them on the same world change page here! Please note, these are only for world changes and not items/powers/personal locations/etc. EVENTS EVENT On July 1st, the efforts of the citizens of Recollé will be acknowledged. As enough energy has been produced by their tasks and bonds together, the layers separating the NPCs from the PCs will be broken down and all NPCs will be back in the city! They’ll notice that they haven’t seen their PC friends and family very much throughout last month, but they will not realize it was a layer issue. All of the buildings are back and fully restored (albeit maybe painted strange colors) and the paint-thinner creatures have disappeared along with the monsters. Travel to the outside regions is available as well. Thanks to the efforts of the PCs, they may now also hold phone conversations with NPCs outside of the city for five minutes. The same distorted, growling noises will arise after those five minutes though. However, also on July first at 12AM EST characters will find themselves living out the new AUs that players have created for them as of the AU workshop. Their old AUs no longer exist for those who are participating, though those who wish to opt out won’t notice anything different about themselves. However, they will be able to recognize the changes in their friends. While things will proceed as normal throughout the city including a 4th of July and a Tanabata celebration, these changes will impact the regions at large as well. More information for the mini-effects of the month will be available on the event log itself. Most importantly, beginning July 3rd when the event log goes live, during the evenings all Retrospec users will experience a certain kind of dream. Whether or not they’ve been re-AUed, as Retrospec users sleep, other users will be able to join them in their dreams. However, these aren’t just any dreams. These dreams will be reflections of the original AU life that characters once held whether that’s memories from their time in-game, events that shaped their original AU or other such events. They may also dream of canon memories and every now and then…perhaps a dream of a different AU will appear. Players will be allowed to play with different “what if” scenarios that end the moment a character wakes up. As July carries on, the dreams will become more frequent and bigger events of their AU life will appear in dreams. Characters may find themselves disoriented and confused of what is real and what is not. More information will be available in August about how these dreams come into play. RESTORATION QUESTS Your friendly neighborhood NPC, Zee Carlisle, has been monitoring you and your progress, Retrospecters. Assessments have been finalized and files have been updated, but this NPC isn't going away. As a hiring manager, Zee will be interested in enlisting several characters for new adventures, quests, and volunteer assignments going forward in phase two. However, as Zee is also a Retrospec user, he will also be affected by this two-part event! Without his memories of being a hiring manager of Retrospec, NPC-given quests will not be given in July and in August, based on player impact. Instead, Retrospec automated quests will be set up and given out for players who wish to have small quests to perform for CR building, plot purposes and more. A top-level for July will be on the assignment board for this purpose. Please visit the assignment board for more information. July quests will be available 7/3! FREEBIE -This month's freebie will require one thread from the mod-posted Restrospec post on the 1st featuring at least ten consecutive comments from you. As notated above, this freebie will not qualify past July. -In addition, you may qualify for a memory freebie in July by threading out a dream sequence with someone including your past AU! This must be at least 5 comments from you. -For your reference, check out the plot clues/finds page found here! This is all for OOC knowledge, though characters have been spreading the information ICly as well. As of this post, this plot page is up to date. -Additionally, if you haven't yet be sure to check out the regains guide to help outline what kind of triggers will work for obtaining regains and memories in-game.
