PLOT POST - December Welcome to our December plotting post! Please feel free to comment to these posts with your character's plans for the month or with what you would like to do for the month, and feel free to discuss those plans with everyone else! Here is the mod questions thread! MOD BULLETIN BOARD -We have changed the posting schedule for the game! Players are free to buy back certain aspects of their canon to help impact and change the world as well, though we may delay the installment of some features for plot purposes. Please note, these are only for world changes and not items/powers/personal locations/etc. A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: To accommodate for the shifts in the game, we have changed the amount characters need to donate to their own causes in order to meet a minimum. For regains that are crowd-sourced, casts will now only have to provide 25% of the points while the remaining 75% may be donated by other players in-game. Cast-sourced regains must still be funded by casts. We have adjusted the math on the remaining regains on the world regains page. EVENTS EVENT, PT 1 As a note, due to the holiday season and to accommodate for players to have time for celebrations and other obligations, this month will be a little more lowkey in terms of events! We will return to regular, more in-depth game plot in January. With the ghosts officially cleared out and the city back to normal, the four doors that opened leading you to the founders' estate have been sealed and disappear from sight. Though you may try to venture to the four points, you will find a dead end and no sign of the doors. It's a strange sense of melancholy that fills the city now that the ghosts have gone away. It's also hard to ignore the small tremors beneath your feet as though the earth below is shifting and shaking. If you look up, you may even think that you see the buildings themselves shaking but everything seems to be standing tall. It's a quiet little lull...but cheer up! The holidays are right around the corner, and the weather seems to know a little snow is in order. Beginning the morning of December 2nd, a large snowstorm will hit the city of Recollé and citizens will find themselves dealing with about 14 inches of snow. That's a bummer. It'll take some digging and some shoveling to clear the sidewalks and the roads, but as you touch the snow you'll find that it's almost warm to the touch, light and airy and gently taking shape in your hands. Small flurries will continue drifting down all the way until the evening of the 4th, and upon waking up on the morning of the 5th it becomes clear that something's afoot in the city. Starting the evening of December 5th, citizens will find small snowglobes scattered around the city. These globes will depict everything from generic winter scenery, Christmas trees, snowmen, buildings in Recollé and even things you may recognize from your memories. They appear on the shelves in your home, on your desk at school, or even in the break room at your job. They seem to appear at the strangest moments, and even if they're easy to ignore at first...don't you want to shake it just a little? Should someone choose to ignore the snowglobes entirely, they will find that the shaking beneath them becomes a little more obvious as snow flurries around them, falling in a personal cyclone even if you're safely inside. For those who shake these snowglobes, however, they will be rewarded with a magical holiday treat of varying results ranging from a small present, gingerbread cookies, ornaments, Christmas carols, or…coal. You know. For those of you who aren't exactly feeling warm and fuzzy this month. The snow lingers for a while, but as you go about your daily life, you'll also notice new, large statues glowing a soft blue color. Touching one of these statues (or even getting close enough to be in range) will activate the snowflake, changing it from blue to green. A portal opens beneath your feet and you're dropped down straight down. As you land in a fresh pile of snow, you'll look up and find yourself faced with large hills, ramps, ice skating rinks and pathways set up for the winter games. Grab a team member or two and play your way to victory. You'll need to defeat at least one team to get back home, after all. Back in Recollé, a very special Christmas tree goes up in Tribunal Terrace and some magic's in the air. Be sure to take a closer look at the ornaments on the tree. You might just find something…familiar. And finally, you should probably watch your back. Though all of the ghosts of the city have migrated elsewhere, one lone spirit lingers behind as he embodies his element. Jack Frost will make his way through the city bringing joy (and pulling pranks) on everyone he crosses. While more information will be up on the log itself, pranks include things such as starting snowball fights, throwing a patch of ice under someone's feet, cookies made with toothpaste instead of whipped cream, ugly Christmas sweaters that just won't come off and more. Hopefully this won't last all month. EVENT, PT 2 Starting on December 14th, a tune rings out through the air. It's a joyful little song, and possibly familiar to you. Beginning on this day, and over the next three days, you'll find a flock of Christmas birds nesting in the strangest places. Partridges, turtle doves and French hens rule the roost and sing along to this tune. On the fourth day, December 17th, the pattern will become increasingly obvious as the city embraces and welcomes all sorts of newcomers such as calling birds, dancing ladies, leaping lords and more. Retrospec may be testing your will during this time, but at least you'll know what to expect each day....right? Maybe not. It seems things are out of sorts and out of order. A few new winter surprises are in store and it's a fine line between a jolly holiday and a nightmare before Christmas. Hope you're prepared to team up, sort things out and put everything back together to finish the song and welcome Christmas Day. More details about this specific log will appear on the second event. Yuff here with just Elliot Craig from Trails of Cold Steel! I'm open for any plotting this month, and I can be reached at my plurk at neutronstar.

Elliot is a 19 year old music major at RU! He's friendly, sweet, and loves music a crazy amount. Also he's a wizard with a specialty in water element, so you better believe he's going to try to use that to his advantage this month and...likely fail a bunch of times. But hey it's the thought that count! But if nothing else, he can heal any injuries or frostbite you get being out in the snow.

Plotting wise he's open to just about anything! He's in good spirits this month thanks to finding TWO castmates - so his CR might need to get ready for him gushing about that. Fair warning: he's terrible at anything physical - so he might be useless in any winter games unless magic's allowed. Like...super useless. But who doesn't love a challenge right...?

Lisa here with resident dumbass James/Bucky Barnes! James used to be a high school emo teen, but then got convicted of murder, died, and came back as a weird buff adult disaster.

This month, he is:

• focusing on rebuilding his life! This means finding work, clothes, etc. He will gladly do odd jobs for anyone who needs them, and will probably advertise this on the app. Need someone to shovel snow for you? James will do it for a jacket and pants that fit! Or maybe a new place to stay--he's currently staying at John and Dave's and it's gonna get awk eventually


• I think he's also gonna try getting new documents for his ~post-death life~ so if anyone specializes in being shady and making fake IDs, hmu because James is looking for that shit.


• he's also lowkey going to go back to looking for Zee's killer and also try to figure out why the hell he died himself. He's not gonna talk about this much (see: lowkey) but if you wanna do something with murder investigation stuff, lmk and we can work something out!


• he is either going to be Very Sad or Very Angry during the holidays, I'm not sure which. He is also going to be very alone for them fjeal;hg please help him his life is in shambles

I actually have no plans for this, since it's late in the month and not during the most opportune time (Dec 23), but since he isn't the type to be ICly excited about it, I want to be OOCly excited. In a similarish vein, Malik doesn't celebrate Christmas, but I'm obviously willing to work around this detail for the sake of plotting/CR! This also means that if your character is all about The Meaning of Christmas, whether it be joy, cheer, relationships or all of the above, I'm all for it - Malik doesn't hate the holiday or anything, he just. Literally doesn't celebrate it, lmao.

Related to the above, my primary goal is get Malik coal so that's what he's going to get from his snowglobe. He deserves it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm also imaging an Egyptesque snowglobe and that's just kinda funny and cute.

He'll be confused about the 12 Days-related shenanigans, because he isn't familiar with the song, so it will be a genuine surprise as to what happens there. Uhh otherwise I think it's a pretty light month for me! I'm just rolling with whatever comes my way. Malik doesn't go to school nor does he have a job so he's really just kicking around until he turns 18 and realizes he has to grow the fuck up.

Hello, hello, it's Mini here with my two nerds! You can plot with me more at Misheard, but here's what I've got so far:

Shuji Tsushima is going to do a lot of snow-clearing, because what even is the point of having enhanced strength if you don't put it to use helping people. (Also he'd like to get to work, thanks.) He's not a bad pick for winter sports except that he... really doesn't follow any of these sports and doesn't know the rules. Otherwise he's a good teammate!!

I am absolutely going to stick him in an ugly Christmas sweater because I am mean. Also thinking about doing something with the great Christmas tradition of eating a bunch of Kentucky Fried Chicken, not sure what exactly.

Shinji Matou is going to cling to his family and cry for probably a few days. Also absolutely going to start snowball fights. Also going to sit on top of snow mounds and declare himself king of Recolle.

More interestingly perhaps, he's getting his hacker skills back and will probably be indiscriminate in what sites he does tiny things to - nothing super harmful, maybe changing the background to a picture of cats, maybe changing the page title to something dumb, etc. If your character has a site of any kind and you would like Shinji to mess with it a little, let me know!

Hi it's Charles (bigdamnhero) and I've been like garbage for at least two months arguably a little more than that! But that said I'm going to try to exist this month for low key holiday stuff so uh, let's do that.

I've got Elda Marker (matchbreaker) who is a 42 year old single mother of two (NPCs) and also a vampire. She's been in the game a long, long time and honestly I'm running out of memories to get her basically entirely, but I'm totally down for like anything at night with her, expand her CR circle out, let her be your sugar momma santa? ... Idk she'll be trying to be festive or generous.

And then I've got Natalia Fairweather (this journal) who's undergone a lot of family shifts and family castmates (Elliot's gotten two!) and she's also now dating someone new?! A lot of stuff, basically. She's a 22 year old casino worker / part time college student and she could use some more fun young people stuff to do, honestly. Let's do some holiday things and/or sports

hello hi it's cel here ready to bring sad disaster girls into winter

Anna Amarande Lehmann (hauntedsavior) just found out that she was born to kick ass and is riding high after a long month that started with her literally losing her heart. she's still not super athletic but she's going to be incredibly restless if she doesn't get out there and help the city somehow, so she'll be digging people out and offering to run errands for anyone who's snowed in, but don't expect her to be happy about it, baka.

aaand Lina Geteilt here is buff now. she just got another strength upgrade and i am choosing to interpret this as now she is BUILT. okay not really but she has noticeable muscles that she didn't have before (after training for most of the back half of last month) and she is getting tired of feeling depressed and might try more of this "self-care" thing that people have told her about? but that also means she's gonna have to have hard conversations because self-care isn't just ignoring problems so she might need some comfort to go alongside the emotional hurt, who knows

-In regards to Akira, Togusa can back up whatever is being done by other people, if a police presence would help with what is being planned, just let me know. I know the fallout is coming soon, but was trying to keep Togusa from being The Guy.

Caprica here, for any new arrivals, playing two. Sakura Kinomoto from CLAMP's Cardcaptor Sakura and Yuichiro Hyakuya (Amane, in Recolle au) from Owari no Seraph/Seraph of the End.

Both of them would probably love the snow and want to go out and play in it. Sakura would probably be more curious and shake the snowglobes before Yuu might? Get Sakura all the Christmas cookies/candy. I'm laughing at the idea of Yuu being pranked by Frost, if only for his reactions to it.

I guess mostly, Sakura will be dealing with the aftermath of remembering seeing her mother in her memories via using RECORD. So there's. That. Thanks CLAMP for the feels for that with Clear Card. Also that she is still ??? over seeing 'Nadeshiko' earlier (it was actually Illusion's card but she hasn't clicked on that yet).

And Yuu is more worried recently about losing control and possibly hurting someone if he does, with having the Seraph gene regained. So that is also a Thing. He'll be kinda. Down anyway, considering he remembers the virus outbreak back in his other life in Japan happened on Christmas.

SUP it's ya girl Luna here, with her tsundere nerd child Xiaolang/Syaoran Li from Cardcaptor Sakura, and I'm ready to throw myself into winter shenanigans!! I've been quiet the past few months due to work/cosplay hell, so I'm eager to get back into the swing of things again! tl;dr Xiaolang's a freshman at Recolle High from Hong Kong who's much too serious for his own good, but he's a good, sweet bean deep down and a legit magical boy, even though he's still going to be denying that up and down even a year later--

As for plot things, Xiaolang's going to have... mixed feelings this month, tbh, since a good chunk of his close CR wound up losing the app (including his cousin/guardian and said cousin's girlfriend), and he also just remembered living on his own in his other life too (which is kind of fucked up when you're 10 years old), so that's... going to be a Thing!! He's also pretty concerned about the state of the city, since he recognizes that staff from the vision last month and knows what it entails, so he may try to reach out to whatever Group 2 people are left to pool info together and let the rest of Retrospec know about it too.

Aside from that, though, he's probably going to be abusing his fire magic to get the snow out of the way because clearly he didn't learn his lesson last month with the turkeys , so if anyone needs shoveling/snow removal help, he can def be your guy 8|b I'm also entirely up for roping him into a snowball fight and being recruited into the winter games, because Xiaolang can be Stupidly Competitive, although he's probably going to suck pretty bad at these sports because WHAT IS WINTER IN HONG KONG...

Otherwise, I'm 100% down for whatever else people want to do with him! I love holiday-related RP antics, so please give me all of them-- I'm also looking to expand his CR and make some new ones because so much of his is gone now, so I'm fine with finding the most roundabout ways for him to meet folks just as long as he gets to know more people, sobs-- feel free to hit me up at Urameshi as well!

Obviously, set himself on fire because he is immune! Which side effects may include melting the snow as he goes around.

I am planning on him discovering his Djinn weapon equip, by accident! Apparently setting yourself on fire is the key to many abilities some people may consider...unnatural.

Al will try to be cheerful, for everyone else's sake. But of course, Christmas reminds him of times in LA...and not all of them are necessarily good, so please drag him into holiday antics so he doesn't do anything stupid, winter sports and Al will be shaking the ever living crap out of a snow globe to get ginger cookies.

He's new, so he's generally going to be confused about everything, but protags still gotta protag!

He's 20 years old and will do just about anything you ask of him for money. Or even sometimes not for money, if it involves animals or you just look really sad at him. I imagine he'll be doing a lot of snow shovelling between classes.

As far as plotting goes, I'm open to just about anything!! Whiiich I know is super unhelpful, but here we are ahaha ;;

RC here with your local leggy bird Crow Armbrust!

Crow's your average college kid going to study some paramedicine at Recolle University. He's a slacker and likes to skip the non paramedicine classes, instead taking up playing cards at coffee shops, reading the wanted ads, or just going around doing odd jobs for people. He's pretty laidback, and tends to roll with just about any personality, and once he latches onto you it's very hard to get him to let go, even if he doesn't form really deep connections with people (up until his retrospec-initiation)

It's December, which means that Crow's technically turning a year older! He'll be turning 22 this year on Dec 19. But he's not really open about his birthday so you'll probably find out AFTER the date that he even had one. Unless someone can weasel it out of him beforehand!

Also, Crow's finally gotten used to Retrospec so instead of just asking people what things are he's probably going to be throwing random texts at whoever wants to have a conversation at him. WHOEVER WANTS A SHITPOST WITH THIS BOY, BELIEVE ME I HAVE PLENTY TO GO AROUND.

The snow will definitely be a blessing to him--it's winter and jobs are few so he's going to be volunteering (for money) to shovel your driveway or what-have-you, or also delivering packages. That's when he's not taking the time to play in the snow himself, which he may or may NOT drag you in. Bonus points if you have pets because he'll be ALL over that.

But the biggest thing will be those snowglobes. Crow's definitely going to be playing with one out of curiosity, but once he figures out they give out things like gachapon machines, you can bet your butt he's gonna go around shaking all of them. TIS THE SEASON FOR FREE TREATS.

Erica here, still with Tatsuo Kihara (Ikuo Ryuuzaki) from the Ouroboros drama and Li-Na Yiu (Lenalee Lee) from D.Gray-Man

Tatsuo is going to be so happy this is a 'normal' month. He's a CSI with the Recolle Crime Lab as well as an instructor at the Utsuki Dojo, which teaches full-contract karate. He teaches an Adult Beginners class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and co-teaches a Self-Defense class on Fridays. He has a senior golden retriever named Yujirou and lives in an apartment complex in Tisse.

Utsuki Dojo is also the location of Weapons Practice each Sunday night! General details on Weapons Practice can be found in Tatsuo's post here and his comment on the Retrospec post the month will also be about it.

Also, Rainbowland upgrade! Live out those theme park date dreams! Rainbowland gets all decorated up for Christmas, so enjoy the lights. There's only one part of the park left (monster house, gyro tower, and mini-train all shit Tatsuo has no interest in whatsoever)!

Event-wise, I am here for ALL THE SNOW PROMPTS. Give me snowball fights, sledding, watching their dogs play. I really want a snowball fight so much. Also, Tatsuo is pretty curious about what other people might have heard from ghosts last month, so he'll be asking about that on the Retrospec post.

Li-Na is a freshman at Recolle U, studying dance. She works at Expressive on the weekends and teaches the toddler ballet class at Dancinerate during the week. She's lives with her cousin Xiaolang and his cousin NPC!Leon and their cute doggies.

Li-Na's university dance class will be having their winter showcase on Dec 7 in the afternoon. And I'm thinking Dancinerate would probably have a winter performance as well. Maybe Dec 12th? Pls come watch Li-Na's toddlers be adorable.

And while Li-Na is NOT a fan of cold weather, she is going to be very intrigued by this warm snow. And she does love ice skating. So she will very much enjoy the winter games. I want all the cute snow activities pls!

SO WHO WANTS TO BUILD A SNOWMAN I mean that literally, Tatsuma can get a (depressing) memory from it. Otherwise, he's going to be kind of melancholy this holiday season, because his grandparents died on Christmas Eve last year :c He'll try to power through it though, so if people want to spend time with him - or otherwise notice the sads - hit me up!

Other than that, he still generally has memories of being a teen in Tokyo fighting demons and such, so if those types of memories are things you think can trigger stuff for your own characters /fingerguns
