recallings | Mid-Month Updates!

Hello hello! Your mod team here with just a few friendly notes/reminders/etc! We'll try to keep this short and sweet but we wanted to heads up a few things to you guys since we've been busy in the background...

• First of all, as per THIS POST, there have been a few new world changes! Remember, you can track world changes on our WORLD CHANGES page for anything that might be going on. We'll also announce world changes in our mod posts each month.

• With regards to the world changes (since we've had this question asked and wanted to highlight it), for characters who are new to the game they will suddenly become aware of these world changes! This applies to all past world changes and all future app rounds as well. Your character essentially starts at NPC status and upon being apped will either immediately note the world changes, or can note them when someone mentions them to them. Either way is fine, it's all up to you!

• With regards to regains, please make sure you turn those in and get them approved by us! With regains being a huge part of how the game system goes, we ask that all regains are cleared by us so we know what's up and how to develop the game with the regains going on. We ask that players do not play with regains that are not approved. This includes things like dreaming of their canon worlds without a regain, etc. That said, please be sure to thread out your memory triggers before submitting them to us! We cannot accept memory regains without seeing what the thread in question is providing.

• With regards to dropped characters, these characters essentially go back to NPC status as well. They could decide to leave the city or suddenly have to move, but what really happens to them is a mystery :)

• We'd also like to take a moment to address player plots! Now that the game's rolling and we have a few players bringing us new and fun plots for you guys, we want to give another friendly reminder that our plot submission post is always open as well! We're more than happy to work with you guys about how a plot can go down, what rewards you can reap, how to make it more open for the game, etc. Generally speaking we consider a player plot to be something that can be open to a majority of the game, versus a player log that's a smaller group of people. If you're unsure of how to bump a player log to a player plot, come chat with us! We're happy to spitball ideas to give everyone a chance to run events they want to run.

• We'd also like to direct your attention to our FAQ post! Our directory should be up to date and as we've been receiving feedback from you guys we've been altering minor things and elaborating on other things. Please be sure to check it out if you haven't lately or if you have questions! Of note, our mod contact is also always open and comments are screened.

We're always interested in feedback from you guys and want to do our best to work with you and what's best for the player base as a whole. We believe that communication is incredibly important when it comes to how the game functions as a whole! However, please remember that we are only a three-person mod team and sometimes we won't catch everything. We cannot feasibly read every log and every post so if something comes up that you're unsure of or that you think we should know about (how memory regains are applied, if your character's committing crimes, etc), just drop us a note! 9/10 times we're going to say yes to stuff or work with you to get everyone to a happy medium, but only if we actually know what's going on.

Overall, we personally want to thank you guys for being an awesome player base! We're excited for the things that are coming in the next couple of months and we're excited to see that the game's finally getting its traction and moving into the more plotty fun stuff. We love seeing what you guys come up with and we're ecstatic by your enthusiasm in what you're doing. Second verse, same as the first: Togusa will search Recolle Police records for a Jim (or James) Halloway. What does he find?

Hello! There will be multiple Jim Halloways, as it appears to be a common name! However, the most popular Jim Halloway seems to own a butcher shop in Chata. At least he has a special on corned beef right now!

Strangely, Jim seems to have even less information about himself than Janet does. Coincidence? Eh.

Regarding non-triggered memory regains, does the rules from Founder's Day free regains still applies to this? Like any free memory regain must not be impactful or something?

Hello! We do still ask characters who introed this month to choose non-impactful memories. For characters who have been in game for a month, we would be willing to approve memories of medium impact, but still ask they not be high-impact. We may still deem something too impactful, basically, but will give characters with more tenure more leeway. This will hold true for any future freebie events as well.

How medium? Like no revelations of their real names or knowledge about their canon's relationship with other characters or any creatures from their original world?

Due to this thread of hers, Ainsley is having thoughts of training... to train the fruits to sing other songs and recite poems...

First question: Is that even possible.

Second question: If so, what would she expect from this during her attempts?

Hello! The fruits actually will be incredibly responsive to song and poetry, but they will not be able to sing or speak! Instead, the fruits express themselves in different styles of dance based on the different genres of music or poetry they are exposed to.

I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE FRUIT....

If the character tries turning the fruit so that it faces away from them...will the faces follow or will it be "normal" on the back?

Hello! If a character turned the fruit so that it faces away from them they will find that the faces will be turned away from them and the "normal" backside of the fruit will be there.

Hello! The fruits are incapable of making sounds, so yes, they keep smiling even as they're being peeled or sliced.

The Retrospec information post with post formats explains that posts can be private to groups. How does this sort of functionality work? Do the players have to define and form a group like on Facebook first?

ICly characters will need to create a group themselves as you would on Facebook or Plurk or any sort of social media where you can create a clique of people.

OOCly if you're posing on the Retrospec network just specify which people the post is filtered to at the top of the post, specify that it's a specific group and it'll be considered "private" to that group of people.

Hello! For the most part all Isa would be able to find are records of the old addresses these people used to live! Strangely enough, any other relevant information about them seems to be missing...weird.
