PLOT POST - February Welcome to our February plotting post! Please feel free to comment to these posts with your character's plans for the month or with what you would like to do for the month, and feel free to discuss those plans with everyone else! Here is the mod questions thread! MOD BULLETIN BOARD AC -As mentioned last month, we will be going forward with two different methods for players to turn in AC. Our first option will be keeping AC the same as before. This means that players may submit threads for points as always (network comments being 1 point, action comments being 2.) These will be counted as usual by the moderators. The second option will be changing AC to where players may submit a summary for bonus points instead, allowing the moderators to read and review a monthly write-up and determine points based on this. This write-up would be a summarization of what your character has done in the month whether it's plot-related threads, character development threads or more (please also provide links for cross-reference!) Dependent on the presentation and review of the summary, mods would determine the amount of points given each month. In addition, with these two choices we will host a points donation pool. Each month, we will allow for players to donate points to be awarded to their fellow players. Players may sign up to either donate to or receive from this pool, and at the end of the month (pre-AC closing), moderators will reply to sign-ups with the amount of points rewarded per month. This line item would then be added to your own AC for the month. Signing up to receive points does not disqualify you from turning in your own bonus points! Please keep in mind; we will still require regular AC and these options are simply for bonus points! Players must still submit 20 comments (up to 4 threads may be used, minimum of 3 comments on one thread) and one mod-approved regain. Please see February's thread for donating and receiving points here and here. Endgame -As a reminder, due to player vote will be aiming for an endgame period of August 2019. This means that the last month of player events will be July 2019 with the month of August left to wrap up loose threads and close out the game! Please see below for an outline of the next few months. Regains -As discussed, we will also be offering the option for players to receive a special extra addition for memory and item/ability/etc regains! We have created a new regains post here that also includes updated forms. Starting in January 2019, players will have the ability to opt in to how memories are received. By opting in to sensory experiences, the modteam will write up a special little addition for how your character's memories will come to them. This may be a vision, a kind of dream, a scent, a hallucination, etc. This will also apply for items/abilities, which may be written in the form of delivery method, mini-quest, etc. This is entirely opt-in, and players do not have to sign up for this if they do not wish. We hope this changes things up and makes things a little more fun for players looking for new experiences to play with! -We will have an opportunity for a monthly freebie every month going forward! However, we would like to clarify that all freebie regains must be applied for before the end of the AC period! We do not accept freebies beyond this barring specific circumstances. IMPORTANT DATES 1st Retrospec post at 9pm EST 5th Event log Pt 1 at 9pm EST 17th Event log Pt 2 28th AC Due see our calendar for a look at upcoming dates this month and further! WORLD CHANGES • At this time there are no new world changes! Be sure to check out our world changes page over here and our world regains page to track all changes and read up on our guidelines. Players are free to buy back certain aspects of their canon to help impact and change the world as well, though we may delay the installment of some features for plot purposes. Players may also contribute points toward bringing back world patches representing their canons that other players may explore outside of the city! Please see the world changes page for more information. Of note: players are allowed to help contribute to buying world changes not from their own canon. Players may donate up to 500 points to another player's cause. When donating points to a canon buyback, please put them on the same world change page here! Please note, these are only for world changes and not items/powers/personal locations/etc. EVENTS Notes As we're going into an endgame period, we'd like to take this time to lay out a bit of a guideline for what players may expect going forward. -February. This will be our last event month that's more lowkey and chill. Character events this month will be focused on supporting upcoming events, CR-building and working with personality traits and the AUs players have crafted. -March-June. These events will be focused on certain measures to be taken to get us to endgame for not only Recollé but the areas around the city (i.e. the four regions.) Events will be heavily focused on mission-esque tasks, teamwork, alterations of specific areas and more. -July. This is the final month of gameplay, officially, to focus on ending the Vanderweele arc and will remain dependent on how the months prior play out. -August. Endgame! The moderator team will write a group of closing events for players to play with in August and after that the game will officially be in a sandbox mode. With this said, we will be hosting our last official application month for new characters in March! Previously dropped characters may be apped back in at any point between March and June, with the first of July being the final cut-off. More details about how the return of dropped characters will play out will be detailed during March's app cycle. Please let us know if you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding this schedule. EVENT, PT 1 With the dismantling of the literal firewall around the city of Recollé, citizens may notice that while the ash may linger in the streets the temperature drops back down to its cool, chilly February weather. The lights above the Towers and the apartment suite at the highest point are all lit, but should you venture there you'll find that the space is woefully empty. The liaison is back in action but will be moving to new headquarters, ready to get back to work and help Retrospecters prepare for the final course of action and apprehend Clarence Vanderweele. Having discovered something beyond the original five layers of Recollé (Awareness, Awakening, Enlightenment, Exploration, Expansion and detailed in this IC post here), Zee Carlisle will be working in close quarters with all Retrospec users in an attempt to help them access the sixth and seventh layers. With the belief that Vanderweele's acting and hiding out, it'll be up to users to traverse between layers, undo the efforts he's put forth and track down Vanderweele himself to put an end to this insanity and stabilize the city. On February 1st with the monthly Retrospec post, an announcement will be made that may put Retrospec users at odds as to what to believe and what to do next. This announcement will provide insight to characters, give them a better scope of the things happening, and what the next steps will be. At this time, the NPC inbox will also re-open. Beginning on February 5th, characters will be put to the test as their most positive and negative qualities are amplified. Working under the idea that the metaphysical can become the physical, it will be these traits that will help characters turn themselves into keys and create a protective barrier around themselves to access the next layer beyond. Becoming keys will also help them generate the silver doors leading onward to slip between layers. While the firewall and the space between layers five and six have collapsed, characters will need to learn to stabilize themselves and fuse bonds with one another in order to slip between and explore further. What does this mean? While you may think you know what your most positive and negative traits are, it seems as though legend tells you otherwise based on the year you were born. These traits may be something you've familiarized yourself with, or they may be something you've suppressed for years and have to come to terms with now. During the daylight hours, characters' positive traits will be amplified and during the hours of darkness negative traits will come into play. Characters will have to learn how to embrace these qualities and generate unearthly concepts into a tangible form: concepts such as "greed", "love", "ambition" and "kindness" are examples of concepts that will challenge characters and need to be created. As items are created, characters will also have to find a way to fuse these objects together (much like last October) to create a "balance." For example, if a character's trait is "love", they may use this to create a heart-shaped container and combine it with someone whose trait is "indulgence", creating small chocolates to fill the box and gift to someone else. "Greed" may manifest itself as money and will have to be combined with "charitable" to provide donations to an organization based in Recollé. There's really no right or wrong combination, though they should be negative combined with positive! Additionally, while your characters may not actively possess these traits, over the course of the month alterations will begin to seep in and plant ideas in their heads that fuel these qualities and urge them to full embrace them. Strangely, it seems as though this idea is a surefire method. One of your own will be making a journey down into the sixth layer alone for research purposes, and thanks to this mission a calibration monitor can be created to track the progress of events. On the other hand, there's also Valentine's Day to worry about. With Vanderweele keeping an eye on the city, interference will impact the citizens of Recollé as they find themselves influenced by a "kissing disease." Small, black hearts will be released throughout the city and sent out to infect characters and overwhelm them, erasing all of their positive aspects and providing power to their dark sides. Is your character someone who wants to become a musician? They'll be able to hypnotize others with a song and put them to sleep. Is your character a baker? They'll now be able to shoot cakes out of their hands and disrupt the general population. Chaos will be key here and those who avoid the hearts will have to find the small, heart-shaped tattoo that's imprinted itself on the infected and "kiss it better" to free the chaotic characters from these binds. EVENT, PT 2 While it's possible to venture into the sixth layer, it's clear that after a certain chain of events characters will be encouraged to spend the first few weeks of February preparing themselves and generating balanced objects to become acceptable sacrifices for doors beyond. The transformation into living keys will allow characters to drop into the next layer and keep a small amount of defense on them. With objects created, the silver doors will reappear along the boundaries of Recollé, beckoning characters to step through and fall deep into the sixth layer. These doors will not lead to separate pockets as before but rather will grant characters access to what has been dubbed as the "Mythos" layer. This layer is one sprawling, massive landscape just below the city of Recollé and will lead characters through an area of surrealism and cosmic horror elements including but not limited to moments of paranoia, monster infestations, isolation, and a plethora of research facilities and old Retrospec domains below. Characters will be tasked with scrubbing the area for information, dismantling some of the facilities and clearing portions of this layer to ensure the city remains in one piece. Positive and negative traits will still aid them down here and will help channel new abilities to "clear" the areas. The metaphysical will continue to become the physical, and soul essence inside each character will help them adapt to this layer…though maybe not quite in the way they wish to adapt. Try not to spend too much time down there, Retrospecters. You may not like what you see. More information will be available on the logs. This thread should be ten comments from you. -Players may claim one freebie for a thread on the first log in which they manifest an object and fuse it with someone else's object. Togusa is getting close to getting all his Other’s memories back, and I think I’ve got it timed right that he’ll finish up in the last active month by the schedule above. I dont need to already know what the answer is, just a yes or no, I love the surprise. Will we get to find out what happens to people who fully remember their Other, and what that means for their Other’s world?

Togusa is still technically recovering from being shot, what are you doing out of bed, Togusa stop it. The micromachines really sped up his recovery time, but please feel free to drag him for being up and about.

Especially since he has two tiny marks on his neck again oops

Priorities are going to be getting back in contact with Zee, and gathering more information to try to push the case against Retrospec forwards. Especially with Zee's own hesitations about the company coming to light, Togusa thinks they need to not lose sight of the fact that the plan is to take down Vanderweele first, Retrospec second.

Positive and negative traits to play with! Steadfastness has the flip side of its coin in Stubbornness, and Togusa's strong sense of Justice can be easily turned into Vengeance. Of course the brat is a Metal sign, so strong contrasts are to be expected.

I don't know how dark we want to send him this month, he does have the blue parka back, just saying.

Isamu the Tachikoma, on the other hand, is going to get a very special present in the mail! He's due for an oil change, after all! How nice of Retrospec to provide it for him! He will be very happy to go back to his job in the National Library now that it's not threatened by fire. But he'll be strangely more curious about things, asking even more questions, and is he figuring out this emotion thing?

what's UP y'all cel here and i'm ready to burst way back into things in a big way because this plot is exactly my jam

so! anna was born in 1991, making her a metal goat! how appropriate. this means some of her positive traits include creativity, intelligence, kindness, and perseverance, while some of the negative ones are shy, reserved, and quiet, with the additional metal modifier bringing on inner fragility. a lot of these are going to come into play naturally for her over the course of the month, but i think it'll probably be much easier for her to turn the positive traits into something concrete. she's got this notepad, she's been taking more notes lately, and she's trying to make some sort of sense out of all of this, and i think with some of the developments this month she's going to have a lot of success there. look for creativity and intelligence more than anything else, though perseverance might end up showing itself all on its own.

lina was born in 1997, making her a fire ox, and. hoo boy. this one's gonna be fun, y'all. positive traits include patience, strength, and determination, while negative traits include blame-happy, stubborn, and with the fire modifier, impulsive and short-fused. if you thought the geteilts were shitty communicators before, you ain't seen nothing yet. when the night falls, lina is probably going to succumb really hard to the fact that she's lost almost all of her close CR over the past month or so. this means blaming others, not really trying to hold herself back anymore, and overall being pretty nasty. negative and positive traits will be easy to make manifest with lina, but there will probably be more opportunities for mean lina (meana) (no that's dumb)

anyway as far as posts, i think i'm gonna do a retrospec tl for lina, then a network post for anna a little later on, and then at LEAST one tl per log and if i don't say this now then i won't be able to document it so future me can look at it and hold past me accountable. lina might get chaotic with her cooking, but it's hard to think of any anna stuff that wouldn't result in, uh, murder, which is a little too much on the chaos chaos side of things (that's RIGHT, undertale AND deltarune references in the SAME COMMENT)

So here's the haps with James this month!

• Due to a bunch of last-minute regains I put in, James is going to be dealing with a cocktail of weird side effects such as: being easily controlled by anyone to do anything just via suggestion, but only for a short while! seeing messages scrawled in blood everywhere and trying to find out who's leaving them for him! and: wanting to steal people's shit and yeet it into the sun! Let me know if you wanna get in on any of those!


• He's gonna talk to Zee and try to blow up the fuckin layers. He's not gonna talk about it much but if you also want to/are able to blow up the layers, let's talk! We might be able to work something out.


• According to the zodiac listing, James is a metal dragon. Based on that, positive traits? Extremely determined, intense/passionate, independent. Negative traits? Hotheaded, stubborn, arrogant. It also insists that metal dragons are big leaders, and James very much is not that, but I'd love to emphasize that somehow anyway for some New Avengers regains! How does one manifest leadership tangibly? I GUESS I'LL FIGURE IT OUT


• He is 100% going to throw himself into the sixth layer as soon as humanly possible without even a second thought or planning. yolo, etc etc. Somebody please come along and make sure he doesn't die again.


• Also, in a more general life sense, I'm gonna say that he's got a part time job as a hospital security guard (THANKS EREN) and also part time apprenticeship at a mechanics' shop. Look at him, moving on in life! Except for the bits where plot intervenes. But, y'know, if you wanna do anything with that, there it is!

Hello hello! I'm Dani (danidanidanica) here with Yuuki from SAO, although in this AU she's Yuuki Ouma! She's brand new and has a lot to learn about being on the app, so might as well DIVE RIGHT IN.

For the first three days she'll be camped out in a tree thanks to a memory. Please keep her company, or possibly warm, it's cold out.

Zodiac-wise, she's a Metal Dragon meaning she's energetic and warm-hearted, charismatic, lucky at love and egotistic. Very determined, very leader-y, but also with a penchant for going it alone and being quick-tempered and, if things go for too long, exhausted.

I'm undecided on if I'll get her infected, but I'm absolutely up for Yuuki running around helping cure people of the kissing infection, so hit me up if you want a small college gal nyooming to your aid!

I would like to throw her at the 6th layer, but first I'd like to get her swordsmanship back! She currently has a memory of being a samurai (not realizing it's actually a memory of being one in an MMO, anyway) so she'll be looking into sword lessons if someone would like to assist her there!

• Tatsuo continues to tentatively poke at his memories as he's remembering more and more about his previous life's childhood. He'll also be getting some small personal items back this month.

• Tatsuo is a fire tiger and how. Traits include bravery, competitiveness, unpredictability, protectiveness, stubbornness, selfishness, and being moody. Tigers are the FIGHT ME of the Chinese zodiac apparently. Not quite sure how he's going to manifest any of these into objects just yet. But I'll think of something eventually.

LI-NA invocate

• Li-Na is steadily getting closer and closer to going Crystal Type. Aiming to have that happen in either April or May.

• She's is doing her best to survive her second semester of college. Her American History class might be the end of her though. On the other hand, February is a favorite month of Li-Na's b/c Lunar New Year AND her birthday (5th and 22nd respectively) are occurring. So if you have CR with Li-Na, she will be busy this weekend making a shitton of dumplings.

• Li-Na is a metal dragon, so if you ever needed proof that Li-Na is not one to be trifled with... there you have it. Traits include determination, energetic, ambitious, independent, warm-hearted, passionate, enthusiastic, charismatic, risk-taking, quick tempered, egotistic. I think this one sentence sums up Li-Na the best: "While Dragons frequently help others, rarely will they ask for help."

• As for the kissing disease, I'm torn between emotional manipulation via dance ala Princess Tutu or just... dumpling projectiles.

RINKA psykick

• Rinka will be getting back the rest of her phasing ability this month and will be experimenting A LOT with it in order to find her limitations. Probably will give her back her batons this month and then start working on her martial arts regains.

• Rinka is a water horse which is actually fairly fitting. Traits include being energetic, self-reliant, enjoy traveling, sharp-witted, outgoing, adaptable, impatient, attention seeking, self-centered, indecisive. How to manifest those as objects... still thinking.

• Do I also give Rinka the kissing disease... She'd be a right menace with her phasing ability.

Amanda here with Dark Bakura (going by Bakhura Farouk in-game), who's going to be coming off hiatus this month!! He'll be impacted by both the kissing disease as well as the positive and negative qualities portions of the event.

• For the kissing disease, I was thinking of having Bakhura's infection almost play out like a Shadow Game, but with some obvious limitations because he has yet to actually regain the Shadow Magic necessary to perform one -- and even if he did have that magic regained, a bunch of permissions would be needed to pull off a straight-from-canon style of Shadow Game SO!! Instead, he'll either be able to bring game pieces to life that act according to his orders and be something of a minor nuisance with his new, minuscule army (think the Hall of Miniatures from Night at the Museum) or fire dice "bullets" from his hand.

• Both options have the potential to become extremely annoying extremely fast given that he currently has a part-time job at a game store with more than enough, uh, ammo at his disposal -- and that's without even getting into his own, personal collection at home (which for the time being is a hotel room until he can go full-time at his current job and maybe start renting an apartment). Bakhura, on the other hand, is going to see no problem with his newfound abilities and will be hard to convince that he needs to be "cured", especially if that cure involves kissing. No thanks!!

• For the positive and negative qualities, the traits of the Metal Dragon are going to be coming into play. Some of this sign's positive traits include self-confidence, fearlessness, ambition, determination, and loyalty (extremely difficult to earn from Bakhura, but once you've got it, you've got it, believe it or not!), while arrogance, stubbornness, recklessness, and a quick temper are among the negative.

i’m ready

eren is going through another crisis phase and trying to reach out to who he really is this month so this event is so perfect. he is an earth tiger and i will be messing around even further with traits such as: bravery, intensity, competitiveness, charm and unpredictability. there will be contrasts between generosity and selfishness, what he’s already aware of and working on so please come help him. being self possessed and moody has also been a major and leadership has taken a ..... weird turn when you remember leading a rebellion by the end of february i’d like for him to be more grounded to reality and using his focus for things worthwhile (re: his career, his relationships, his hobbies, his actual life, so i’ll be trying to give more light on those things). not doing the kissing disease because he’s been dark enough as it is lately.

ps: he’s also going to talk to zee and possibly destroy magatus. to be continued???

ahmi is . . . new, and also a fire dragon, lmao. but her focus this event will be more to help others rather than herself! (she had a huge character arc pre recollé so all the negativity is. suppressed). if anyone needs her at petal flow, please come visit!! or she’ll just come right to you!

Howdy everyone, Yuff here! First of all, sorry to everyone for dropping the ball halfway through last month. I had to deal with a serious RL situation, but I'm hoping this month to slowly step back into RPing properly.

Plot wise, Elliot Craig is a earth rabbit which strangely enough is just his personality, so I might not do a whole lot on his negative/positive traits since a lot of that got focus last month- but he'll be there to react to others! I might do something with the kissing infection because hey, he can already put people under sleep spells with his music- why not make it worse??

Yeah I don't have a whole lot yet, but it's good to be back yet! If you want to plot, I'll be over at neutronstar

Hello and happy February, everyone! RC here with your local Crow Armbrust and boy is this month gonna be a doozy.

Outside the plot, Crow's memories are starting to stray a little bit from his castmates. What started out as cute military school funtimes is now evolving into something much darker. He's hearing his voice say things that might be pretty "questionable", he's seeing visions of people that don't quite match up with the others, and he's starting to remember not being there for a lot of Elliot/Rean's memories. It's a bit worrying, but he'll mostly keep it to himself unless caught up WITHIN a regain.

As for the plot-

Crow is a Fire Rat, which...honestly, it's prety much summed up as exactly him. His positive traits are going to be his energetic, talkative nature as well as his zestful, spirited personality, although he will have a tendency to get aggressive and has a tendancy to not stick with one thing for too long. He may leave projects unfinished (sorry classmates) because he gets bored. Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) he's also incredibly secretive about things that bother him or his own problems. Which...I guess budding memories of a terrorist are gonna fall under that category. He'll be extremely cagey when memories and regaining them are brought up, and want to change the subject pretty quickly. But he's also going to be incredibly charming and always willing to help you out, even if he might've left you to your own devices before. You may get more spamming texts this month than usual due to him never wanting to shut up. This is also going to amplify his gambling.

To put it simply, he's going to whale on his idol gacha or empty his wallet at a casino most likely. Someone please take his phone from him because that is one big app store with a lot of microtransactions waiting to happen.

Kissing disease -He's definitely going to be infected. Crow's powers with his playing cards are going to become slightly amplified and honestly his cards are just now going to be the equivalent of throwing knives. Think Naruto shuriken but with playing cards. He's got 52 of them--how lucky do you think you are?

The rest of the plot is dependant on how the first plot goes so I'm ready to play it by ear!

ALSO: Due to a regain, Anyone who's talking to Crow will be unable to refer to him by name as "Crow", instead, they will automatically call him "C". This'll last for about a week.

JANUARY SURE HAPPENED, DIDN'T IT. Rean got shot, cracked a rib, and also his sister is here now?! Please don't tell his sister about the first two.

But hey, it's February, and you know what that means? Valentine's Day! Rean's actual Valentine's date is already taken, but outside of the plot for the rest of the month, it's an open game of who wants to date Rean Schwarzer? His idiot friend Crow will be setting him up on blind dates, primarily with NPCs, but if you want to thread out the world's most awkward date that will assuredly go nowhere, I am 300% here for it. Your character gets free lunch out of it, at least!

BUT THEN WE HAVE PLOT. Rean's an Earth Tiger, which is basically just his regular personality. Positive traits are strong leadership qualities, and also being charming, courageous, and warm-hearted. Which... again. That's just him. Literally nothing has changed.

Negative traits though, hoo boy. Moody, intense, and ready to pounce at any time. Rean's inner emo kid is going to be out in full force at night, angry and brooding and violent. Anyone remember his shadow self from that first TDM? Turns out that was legitimately a thing to be worried about! It only gets worse from here.

He is absolutely getting infected by the kissing disease, and for the most part will be working to spread it. ...Or slice you into tiny pieces, whichever comes first! Why did we let the angry emo kid have a sword, again? This seems like a terrible idea.

HI GUYS it's ya girl, Len, aka returning fresh meat with Himeko Inaba (but going by Raina Schwarzer) in game who is currently a first year college student that it taking a bunch of computer science classes, psychology and basic ed stuff. She just transferred in January and she's already having a fun time here...

But anyway, February plans! I'm going to focus on getting CR with Raina since she needs friends in spite of her distrustful personality that she hides underneath a huge facade of trying to be friendly.

And in terms of plot, she's a Metal Dragon, which is hoo boy. I'm going to focus on the whole 'driven' and 'willing to take risks' part because of course I am, but I'll also play up her leadership skills and "doing what's necessary to be on top" because that's Just Her. She'll also be feeling unfulfilled which will amplify more if she manages to get the proper memories back that her past life self is Normal and Boring and largely not very different compared to everyone else.

Also she will probably be collapsing because of exhaustion during the beginning of the event because anxieties means NO SLEEP but she's fine, clearly...

Anyway, on terms of the kissing disease, I'm largely opting out of it on terms of being infected or kissing it better, although I am here for the chaos - and hypnotism, I am especially here for that, give me some mindfuckery, fam.

As for part two, I'll probably plot a little more when we know a little more info. In any case, come at me, IM RIPPED and feel free to hit me up here or on plurk at endlesseight for plotting (or just to chat!) too.

Hi so I'm here and I promise I'm actually going to work my way back into RP this month, even if it might be a little bit gradual. But I'm Charles (bigdamnhero and I'm playing both Elda Marker (this account) and Natalia Fairweather (nachetanya). I retroactively decided given I wasn't here at all basically in December or January that they were NPC-ified sometime in December and then came out of it in late January just because I barely kept up with the plot and events then, so both are on the confused side for different reasons. That said,

Elda ends up with fire dragon which like... basically means that the positive traits show capability and independent dominant talent with the downside being arrogance and a flaring temper as near as I can tell so that actually seems pretty on point for her if not making her a bit less civilized than normal. Anyway as a result of a memory regain she's also starting off the month being physically about 90 years old and more frail, to recover after more blood about a week in so that's throwing her off a lot and seems like fair fodder for a post.

Natalia ends up with fire rat which means that she's observational, talkative, helpful to other people, but secretive about her own problems. The fire modifier means that she's spontaneous and hates the status quo, resulting in her being more spiritedly chaotic. Which... that's on point without hitting one or two of her core traits so that might actually be pretty fun to play around with. I think she's better fodder than Elda to get the kissing disease and I feel like the best way to do it might be to have her able to generous or attract monsters or something like that? I'm still workshopping it in my head.

But yeah let's do things now I'm here. Hello.

• Derek is a 26 year old CSI at the Recolle Crime labs, so he does spend time there.
• Derek now has up through 6th year level magic and can also apparate 25 yards, and has two of the unforgiveable curses back (imperio and crucio). So any help on him remembering a bunch of spells would be welcomed!

*Water Monkeys are extremely sensitive and often feel hurt by the things that are said to them. They refuse to show their sensitive side to others and as a result, are extreme jokesters.
*I am thinking of bringing out his jokester side more or his more emotionally sensitive side, which results in him being more closed off, which also results in more jokes. Does anyone want to try and deal with this? That or I make him a REALLY GOOD LISTENER. Pretty much we are going to get a really extreme version of Derek, because he's kind of like his monkey characteristics anyway. (Feeling so called out with some of the Relationship stuff). If you have any other ideas, please let me know!
• I wouldn't mind giving Derek the kissing disease. He can apparate now. I could have him just apparating all around the city annoying the crap out of people. Either by magically leaving birds flying around their heads, snakes, sending magical spit wads up their nose... He will be a menace.

It's Mini with Shuji Tsushima (this journal) and Shinji Matou (spirithacker) and plotting!

-Shuji is a Water Monkey who will be experiencing mischeviousness and sensitiviity... so he'll probably be playing some pranks on his friends and then crying if they get mad. Oops. His positive traits of cleverness and creativity will make him productive at writing this month, at least?
-He's not going to be affected by the kising disease himself but I'm here to have him curing other people. It's awkward but not the worst thing he's had to do.
-Shinji is a Metal Tiger who will be competitive to the max... expect to get challenged at games by a small child. He's brave but also stubborn, which I'm sure is not a terrible combination for a kid heading into the dangerous sixth layer! It's fine.
-Shinji will be affected by the kissing disease, but his mark will be plainly visible on his forehead, so at least there's that. Also who wants to get chased by Space Invaders-esque 8-bit tiny space ships with tiny lasers?

Hey guys, it's Redd with a new character (and also Jaeger)! Shigure's OOC intro is over here in case you want to learn more about him, otherwise let's get to it!

Jaeger (scythegun) is a Water Dog, so for positive traits: loyal, reliable, compassionate, supportive, faithful, flexible, relaxed. Most of these are fairly accurate, but he has very few friends to actually experience these (because he's just Obnoxious otherwise), which leads us to negative traits: temperamental, stubborn, irrational, difficulties trusting others, insecure, anxious. Which are also mostly pretty accurate!

As for plans, I don't have anything solid for Jaeger; he's probably going to be more interested in the latter half of the month and exploring the sixth layer, buuuut I'm not 100% certain what'll happen there! Let me know if you want him anywhere, and we can see how that goes!

Shigure is an Earth Dragon, which doesn't fit very well (at least the Earth part)! Positive: rational, level-headed, supportive, driven, enjoys challenges, independent, passionate. Negative: quick to anger, prefers to be alone, unfulfilled, exhausted by their own overdramatic natures, stressed. These... mostly don't fit Shigure (especially rational and level-headed), but I'd love to mess around with some of them anyway!

I don't have much in mind for plans with Shigure either, though I'm open to pretty much anything! Venturing into the sixth layer is absolutely something he'd do, however he doesn't really have any means of defending himself so hopefully that doesn't happen?? We'll see when we get there, I guess. I'm open to the idea of messing around with the kissing disease, but I'm not sure I'm going to go for it with him just yet! Since he's brand new, I'm mostly looking into getting him settled and picking up whatever memory regains I can get! His memories are... interesting. They mostly involve fighting and being an asshole to his little brother, so that's going to be fun(?). Let me know if there's anything you want to do with him as well!

Sup, it's Luna with Recolle's local Sassy Lost Child Xiaolang Li LET'S DO SOME PLOTTING

Xiaolang's a Wood Monkey, which means his positive traits include being energetic, curious, hard-working, and communicative, while his negative traits are his insecurity, stubbornness, and anxiety. So... pretty much how he's always been, more or less! He's probably going to show more of his energetic, curious and communicative traits throughout the month, and actually!! Approach and talk to people!! On his own!!! So if anyone wants any CR with Xiaolang this month but wasn't sure how to get it, come at me, since this will probably be the best time to do it while he's actually being extroverted! Let him chatter at you endlessly about things and ask a million questions about what you're doing, okay-- I was also thinking one of the items he could possibly manifest is a telephone or some kind of communicator? Not sure what can come out of the others, though 8|a

As for the negative traits and the kissing disease portion of things... I'm possibly thinking of him being something of a robot/working in autopilot mode?? Maybe?? Still on the fence about it, but his tattoo will probably be on his forearm or something so anyone who has to kiss him won't feel hugely awkward about the whole thing. Same also applies to the sixth layer stuff, not gonna know what to do with him for that portion, but if anyone wants to explore/do stuff with him there, I'm up for plotting for it!

Misc things also involve maybe doing cute stuff with his girlfriend for Valentine's Day should he not get himself smooch-diseased and making her cute chocolates, along with helping Li-Na with her dumpling making and maybe-possibly doing stuff with her for her birthday?? Gotta milk these mega positive traits while we can, yo

All right, let's do this. First of all, hi, I'm Dal! I am here with a new character as well as my other two - Arthur Crowe/Artorius Collbrande has an OOC intro over here; he's a mess but he's doing...something. Arguably his best. Otherwise -

First half of the event:
Albert Wesker is an Earth Horse, assuming I can do math - positive traits here are self-reliant, perceptive, and adaptable, while negative traits are indecisive, impatient, and capricious. Which, I mean. Fair enough, honestly.

Alexander Cumore is a Metal Horse, apparently - positive traits being free-spirited, energetic, and sharp-witted, negative traits being fearing commitment, impulsive, and overly ambitious. Is it accurate? Uh. The positives are really sort of not, but you know what, that's fine, the negatives make up for it.

Arthur Crowe is a Fire Tiger - positive traits there would be authoritative, charismatic, and courageous, and negative traits are controlling, selfish, and perpetually ready to throw down. Which, again, that's all...completely fair, actually...

Second half of the event:
Any of them/all three of them will be willing and interested in at least checking out the sixth layer; it's worth noting that Wesker is the only one with powers and/or any sort of reasonable capacity to fight anything, seeing as Arthur literally just got here and Cumore is...himself, honestly. Which isn't to say that Cumore is completely incapable, seeing as he tends to solve his lack of ability to defend himself physically by setting things on fire and then stabbing them a lot like some sort of overdressed twiggy barbarian? Hey, it got him through last February... Meanwhile, horror of the sort that's being described is sort of Wesker's Entire Deal, so he'll be weirdly in his element in some ways.

And again, Arthur literally just got here so he's going to have a good time, I'm sure.

In general, though, I am down for anything and like exploring, so if anyone wants to do that, feel free to let me know!

General plans:
Hi, I'm bad at plotting. That said, I don't really have any concrete plans for any of them, outside of "we're probably going to jump into the sixth layer and two of us are armed with nothing but a can-do attitude and maybe some bear mace"; I'm going to be trying to get Arthur settled and get some memories going for him as soon as I can, and otherwise you can hit me for anything at InstantEternity!

So, he is a snake, traits include Greed, envy, ambition, hard-working, protective, jealous, become easily bored, analytical, insecure, creative, seeks order/peace.

Metal modifier, extremely materialistic and goal driven.

I don't really have solid plans for Al. He sacrificed plenty of sleep last month trying to help with the firewall to try to change himself and feel better.

OPS! Police chased him though...that can't be good.

Anyway, I think I might focus on greed/insecurity. Let Al have a black hole to make physical what is up with him emotionally, a deep sense of insecurity, wanting more, etc. Then jack it up to 11 to try to make himself feel at peace when he gets angry because it's not working.

Don't know about the kissing curse yet.

Exploring a new layer? Probably! No thoughts in that department other then it sounds cool.

Hello there! I'm Sam, here with Kaede/Lucy long_live_the_queen who will sort of count as two people this event as far as manifestation sharing, if specific conditions are met.

Lucy (who has remembered her real name but isn't habitual about using it yet) is a metal snek, as if she wasn't possessive and jealous enough. That analytical trait can easily dovetail into her usual paranoia, and those materialistic impulses are instead going to be applied to people she likes or decides that she likes, which she'll have a tendency to hoard like a (non-zodiac) dragon. For actually positive traits, there's the sheer fuck you world resilience that'll be amplified by the event effects, decisiveness, diligence, etc.

If Nyu appears, though, she'll have earth dog traits which is hilarious to say. She's supportive and caring of others to the point of neglecting herself, and inquisitive to the point of being nosy and invasive. Getting Nyu to appear is a bit more difficult this time, as there's no sickness or trauma driving the mental musical chairs. Ideas welcome!

For this month only, Nyu comes with a slight eye trauma warning due to lingering regain effects. It's a periodic phantom pain, but let me know if you'd rather not deal with that in a thread! It doesn't need to come up all the time.

rose here is a water monkey, so that makes for a fairly interesting list of positive and negative traits, haha. for positive we've got clever, energetic, and enjoys a challenge; on the negative side there's sensitive, lacks self-control, and weak morals. i'd especially like to do something with rose being overly sensitive since she generally isn't LMFAO.

other plans for the month are.... as always, fairly nonexistent...... there's a regain i'm debating on getting that would ensure a slow descent into insanity, but what better way to put on the pressure to finding a solution for retrospec and her own flower parasite when endgame's on the way anyways, right??

So Sakura will be the same sign as Xiaolang - the Wood Monkey. This means. Well, positive traits include being energetic, curious, hard-working, and communicative, while his negative traits are her insecurity, stubbornness, and anxiety. I'm figuring most of those she actually already has. Not so much the anxiety due to her sunshine optimism, but there are occasions in canon where she gets down because of everything. So I'm debating how to go about this when she already shows most of these traits.

Yuu is apparently a Water Horse? For 2002. Or at least, Recolle wise that is when he would have been born. In canon iirc it's that he's born in 2004. But anyway. The Horse symbolizes such character traits as strength, energy, and an outgoing nature. They are animated, people pleasers and intelligent. They are honest, friendly and open-minded. They’re perhaps a bit too centered on themselves and have been known to throw tantrums when situations don’t go their way.

Most of that seems about right? Though Yuu's intelligence is not from being book-smart, haha. And he can be selfish in regards to his actions and reactions sometimes, though it's usually bound up in being selfless at the same time, ie disobeying orders to stay in formation with his squad when one of them gets hurt or is in trouble, breaking said formation to go help them.

But ditto what I said regarding Sakura, figuring how to treat this.

I put in a hiatus, but I'm still around? Just slower, for this month. I know there's Valentines for this month, so. There is that to consider, esp since Sakura works at the bakery and has her bf Xiaolang. Yuu and Mika kissed back in Dec with the mistlebats so that was a thing.
