PLOT POST - JUNE Welcome to our June plotting post! Please feel free to comment to these posts with your character's plans for the month or with what you would like to do for the month, and feel free to discuss those plans with everyone else! Here is the mod questions thread! You may also use this thread to leave comments about the below. MOD BULLETIN BOARD AC -As this is our final month, AC will not be required for June. Players may still turn in threads for regains, however. -We will have an opportunity for a monthly freebie every month going forward! However, we would like to clarify that all freebie regains must be applied for before the end of the AC period! We do not accept freebies beyond this barring specific circumstances. WORLD CHANGES • At this time there are no new world changes! Be sure to check out our world changes page over here and our world regains page to track all changes and read up on our guidelines. Players are free to buy back certain aspects of their canon to help impact and change the world as well, though we may delay the installment of some features for plot purposes. EVENTS EVENT Welcome back to the right time, Retrospecters. As per the liaison's message a few weeks ago, there are things falling into place and starting to line up. It's coming down to the end, and while it's possible to pick a certain chain of events (and necessary), the end game of it all is to cut the power source, return memories lost, and stabilize the city as a whole. While the offer is still on the table to check out alternate timelines before committing to a specific chain of events, thanks to the work of someone in the past and the plans of someone in the future, it will become clear what precisely must be done next. On June 1st, the liaison will update those who are left about the plan in action of Retrospec revealing themselves to the public and functioning on a volunteer basis should one world fully complete itself. This update will be a round-up of plans and ideals to get everyone on the same page and ensure that everyone's ready for the final stages in the last-ditch effort to get things back where they belong. Beginning on June 7th, the lines running through the city toward the ocean will pulsate, drawing energy from the city straight down into the water and linking up to a hidden undersea base. Those who are brave enough can venture forward, deepdiving once more and finally cornering Vanderweele once and for all. The base itself will require characters to work together and be stealth in their operations, but there are things to settle on the outside, too. The mechanical eye on city hall must be taken out, and it's up to users to figure out the best way to extract it from the building and disarm it, cutting off a huge supply of power. As the eye's influence over the city begins to weaken, buildings, memories, and even people may begin to come back to Recollé as it slowly restores the rest of the planet. It will take people above and below the surface working in tandem to ensure everything balances out and the effects won't be undone at a later date. The ultimate goal is to take away Vanderweele's ability to meddle with the city and take back control over Retrospec. It won't be easy, but with dedication and teamwork it can be done. Togusa and Tatsuo: "Our bad."

My main goal is to make sure other people's ideas get integrated into the main plan to Deal With Retrospec. Zee was taking about a few people needing to act as 'anchors'? Which Togusa isn't sure what that means, but it might involve someone who is okay with the world they are seeing in memories existing. I'm hoping we get more details about this.

Reading that thread, Pretty sure Al would have a few words about letting the law do it's thing.

He doesn't exactly have faith in the law, so, trying to gun down retrospec legally doesn't exactly appeal to him, maybe they can talk about this?

Al might be down to volunteer as an anchor, since July/August he kept his memories and practically everyone he knew changed, so he might argue that he could be a stable anchor.

I'm down for talking it out! Togusa won't budge on that part, but I'm definitely okay with having that conversation. As for the anchor thing, awesome. We'll see what Zee has to say when things go up.

Al has plenty of personal reasons to not trust the law in handling it right, so, chances are, that convo might not really be that productive, maybe some sort of begrudging compromise on the issue?

As the legal expert of the remaining Retrospec users, characters are welcome to turn to Matt for their concerns about Retrospec being held accountable by the law and details about their rights if they continue to stay in the program, etc.

So, Al has a time machine and says time travel is risky as hell...

Cue him time travelling after a while to steal his mom's body from the past so he can have a proper funeral for her in the present.

He resisted for a while okay?

Does someone want to attend a probably illegal funeral and maybe help him do it right?

Tatsuo would sympathize with Al a LOT about his mom. But he would not be down for transporting a body. :|

I have no idea how Al plans to transport said body, pretty sure his process was...

Step three: Profit(funeral)

maybe he struggles to fly while carrying said body? Might be a source of hi-jinks.
