PLOT POST - NOVEMBER Welcome to our November plotting post! Please feel free to comment to these posts with your character's plans for the month or with what you would like to do for the month, and feel free to discuss those plans with everyone else! Here is the mod questions thread! MOD BULLETIN BOARD -We will have an opportunity for a monthly freebie every month going forward! However, we would like to clarify that all freebie regains must be applied for before the end of the AC period! We do not accept freebies beyond this barring specific circumstances. -Additionally, please remember there is no limit to how many regains you can earn in a month! Though you need one for your AC, you're free to claim as many as allotted for the month so you have time to pick and choose which one to link for AC. -While freebies can be submitted at any point in the month, we would like to remind players that per the regains guide, we do ask that the last tag from you on a thread submitted for a regain be no older than 14 days. -We also ask that players do not trigger their own memories prior to clearing things with us! It's part of the game mechanic for regains to be done the way that they are, so this means we ask players not to have their characters feel memories coming on, etc. -Please be sure to keep your registries up to date with both memories and abilities! A good habit to get into is updating your registry as soon as the notification from us is received. This not only helps you remember what your character already knows, but it also helps us so that we can judge future regains accordingly based on what your character has already obtained. -Our last note for the bulletin board is a friendly reminder to please use your character tags to tag yourself on posts and logs! This helps keep things organized not only for us but for your gamemates as well. In addition, if there is an error with your character tag or you need us to change anything, please let us know. IMPORTANT DATES 1st Retrospec Post 9PM EST 2nd Ninja Warrior OOC plotting post 3rd AC Results, Mini-Event Log 9PM EST 4th Ninja Warrior IC announcement 10th AU workshop, Love Meme 11th Ninja Warrior training log 17th TDM, reserves open 24th Apps open, Ninja Warrior log 30th AC Due, apps close until January see our calendar for a look at upcoming dates this month and further! WORLD CHANGES • Media as a whole and NPCs now acknowledge the color green! Songs and books regain the ability to say the words appropriately, and NPCs acknowledge the color as real. • The Duel Monsters trading card game now exists and packs of cards can be purchased in the usual locations for trading card games! • Clothing and personal items have now regained the color blue! This includes all items your character had in their AU plus any regains your character has obtained. However, this does not include physical features. Please note, this will be in effect as of 9pm on 11/1. Be sure to check out our world changes page over here and our world regains page to track all changes. Players are free to buy back certain aspects of their canon to help impact and change the world as well, though we may delay the installment of some features for plot purposes. Of note: players are allowed to help contribute to buying world changes not from their own canon. Players may donate up to 100 points to another player's cause. When donating points to a canon buyback, please put them on the same world change page here! Please note, these are only for world changes and not items/powers/etc. EVENTS After a rocky October, things will start to balance out again in the following months for reasons unknown to PCs just yet. Though nightmares and the fog will be gone as of November 1st, this month has its own set of strange and inconvenient events. First and foremost, as of this post all item regain deliveries will be delayed until the 3rd when the mod-posted event log goes live, and delivery of items will be changing up once it does. Instead of items, characters will receive tickets with 20-digit numbers on them, with the Retrospec logo in the lower right-hand corner. Beneath the number is a very brief but truthfully accurate description of whatever item your character will be receiving. This will be ICly known only to those who regain items at this time, or those who hear it from those who have. An IC explanation will be forthcoming in IC mod posts! Secondly, over the course of the month cell phone service for calls outside of the city and emails sent to people outside of the city will become more erratic and bounce back more often. By the end of the month, all calls will fail to connect to the outside world and all emails will bounce back. Weird! Thirdly, some of the locations in the city will be changing over the course of the month; a full list and description will be found in the event log going up on the third. NPCs will notice these changes initially, to some degree. Lastly, the Mayor has ordered an import of turkeys that were meant to be frozen to cook for the annual Thanksgiving potluck for the city. However, our lovable yet scatter-brained Mayor accidentally ordered a bunch of live turkeys instead. These live turkeys will be running around the city and lay golden eggs. The eggs can hatch or players can crack them open but they may wish to be careful as they can be filled with candy, toys, shaving cream, confetti, bugs, dirty socks, etc. More about this will be detailed in the event log as well. On the player-run plot side of things, you may notice that there is an OOC post going up 11/2 about a player-run Ninja Warrior event. The players conducting this plot will have more details in their OOC post along with rules, dates, and what your character can do to be involved. FREEBIE -This month's freebie will require one thread from the mod-posted Restrospec post on the 1st featuring at least five comments from you with one new character. Please note, we define "new character" as any of the incoming new characters from the application round (regardless of TDM tags you may have done with them) or any in-game character your character has not threaded with before. As usual, this regain should be turned into our regains request post with "November Freebie" and the qualifying thread link in the explanation section! As notated above, this freebie will not qualify past November. -While it is not viable as your AC proof regain, a small 10-20 point item freebie can be earned from IC completion of a Ninja Warrior course. Please see the OOC information post and sign-ups post for further details. We will also include links to these posts as they go live. -For your reference, check out the plot clues/finds page found here! This is all for OOC knowledge, though characters have been spreading the information ICly as well. As of this post, this plot page is up to date. Please note: any player may purchase a plot clue if they so wish! Should this be a high demand, we may cap how many clues go out per month and at this time we are in the process of revamping the plot clue system to incorporate tiers and categories for your reference. -Additionally, if you haven't yet be sure to check out the regains guide to help outline what kind of triggers will work for obtaining regains and memories in-game.
