As noted in your acceptance notification, we also ask that new characters not do inbox threads involving the Retrospec app or world changes or the like until they are officially granted access to the rest of the comms (TDM threads of course can be continued). Characters will still be at NPC status without the ability to recognize any oddities until the Retrospec post is up at 9PM EST on the 1st!

Hello everyone!

My name is Ax, who some of you know as the Yukiko and Penelo player, and I'm bringing in another character because I'm crazy. This is Kara Zor-El, AU name is Karen Ellis, though she does go by Kara to friends. She's from the DC Comics universe, and most of you guys probably know her as Supergirl, Superman's cousin.

In canon, Kara is an alien from Krypton just like her cousin, but unlike him she didn't grow up on Earth. She grew up on Krypton as the daughter of two genetically engineered scientists, raised to be a model Kryptonian citizen. Until the planet blew up and her father shot her off into space, where she spent 25 years or so in suspended animation before landing in Siberia. Unlike her cousin she hasn't exactly coped well with this. Her app is here if you're curious about how bad.

In the AU, Karen works at Recolle University as a Postdoc researcher, primarily focused on bioengineering. She teaches some high level courses and tutors a few particularly eager students. She's nice, mostly, but isn't really the most patient. She's from a small town in rural Oklahoma, and does everything she can to forget that, and generally just sort of works all the time.

Hellooooo! I was going to write this in the morning but it's 2AM and I can't sleep so here I am like a crazy person. My name is Emmy or Amelia, I lie in California, owrk full time and also attend grad school because life just isn't worth living on a normal sleep schedule.

This is my first character at Recolle. I'm super excited to get to play with all of you, especially because I'm going to be playing Astolfo, Rider of Black from Fate/Apocrypha. They're something of an energetic type who has a rather devil-may-care attitude towards most of the world in canon. Why fight in some war over a Holy Grail when you can, I dunno, help people?

In AU, they're Astin Beaufort, the babiest brother of Soleil Beaufort. He attends university (major undeclared), likes anime, cosplay, and fashion and is kind of a spoiled rich kid because his folks cover like, everything he needs. They're very friendly and not at all snobby and mostly just want to try and figure out where their life is headed because it's pretty hard to at age 19.

Hello everyone! Arcane here, and this is my first real game, so I’m a bit inexperienced but very eager to learn!

I had a blast in the TDM with Atsushi here. He’s from Bungou Stray Dogs, a manga/anime series centered around individuals named after authors that possess supernatural powers called abilities. In canon, Atsushi can transform into a weretiger, and you can read more about him here in his app!

Basically in AU verse he’s just a normal university student working part time at a bakery that loves reading and helping people!

Heya, my name is Daisy and I am completely new to the game so nice to meet you all! I'm bringing in Ignis Scientia from Boy Band Road Trip Adventures aka Final Fantasy XV. I cannot give a more succinct description of his character than what this image provides, but I'll add a little extra anyway. He is the responsible and level-headed mom of the group who will sass you if he needs to and make you eat your vegetables, whether you like it or not. He'll also cut a bitch that harms his friends, especially his prince. He can fight with daggers and spears, don't try him. Also he loves coffee a little too much. It's basically in his blood.

And something about recipes.

He is a bit of the same person in his AU, though he's just recently moved to Recolle from England to be a full-time stay-at-home mom caretaker for kittycaterer.

Hi hello! My name is celene and I'm going to be bringing A2 from NieR: Automata into this lovely game! It's been a while since I've been in a proper game, but I've been in the RP business for, uh, let's just say a grip and I'm excited to jump back into things.

Canonically, A2 is an android from the 11000s whose goal is to kill every last machine on a war-torn, desolate Earth. Since I am taking her from route C/D, going too much further into this might be some pretty big spoilers for the overall story and themes of NieR: Automata. I'm gonna do my best to be conscious of that to make sure this excellent game doesn't get spoiled for anybody. If you don't care, though, feel free to check out her app!

In Recolle, Annalise "Anna" Lehmann is a 26-year-old college dropout who does call center support and previously held a bunch of other more humanitarian jobs while she was trying to figure stuff out for herself. (She's still working on that part.) She's not super pleasant but incredibly good at faking it because of that customer service life. Brief side note: I didn't mention this in my AU workshop because I was a fool, but if your character was of college age six to eight years ago and lived in the city, I'm definitely looking for someone to have been Anna's gay awakening and first ex. You know, if anyone's interested in that.

As for tagging, I work 10:30 - 7:00 PST and can't always tag at work, but I'm around in the evenings (usually until around midnight) and on my days off, typically Sunday/Monday. Hi guys! This is Kiri (ahmsi), player of Kairi/Marina (princessofheart), and I brought another character because why not. This is Corrin from Fire Emblem: Fates, specifically the Conquest timeline! She's a woman who can transform into a dragon and wields a really cool sword called Yato.

She's actually changed a little since the time I posted her on the AU workshop and TDM. Most notably her name is now Karin Wells rather than what I had it be before. Also, while her personality is mostly in tact as it was before, some of her motivations and driving forces have changed which affects how she acts to a certain degree. I have a tldr version of it here if you don't wanna look at her app, but for an even shorter tldr about her:

Karin is going to school for International Relations, in her last semester. This isn't actually what she wants to do with her life, but she feels pressured to pursue it because of those supporting her in her endeavors. This is causing her to buckle a lot under the pressure of those expectations, and it's reaching a critical point now as she begins to feel like there really is no turning back. She keeps really busy, so she's never really had a chance to make a lot of lasting friendships in her life, because those supporting her had high expectations of her studies and extra curriculars. This is one of the things she's hoping to change as she's coming into the game, because she's becoming increasingly lonely and worried she'll never make purposeful relationships outside of her family. Most importantly, pls teach this poor girl how to sit down and relax for once in her life.

In Rec he'll be an even better boy going by the name Basil Marino and works at his father's Italian Restaurant in... Tisse?? I forgot. Either way, he treats anyone who comes in there like a friend. He's quiet, more than a little mischievous and a really great hip hop dancer. competes in local competitions and everything.

Hi everyone! I'm Dawn, brand new to Recollé and I'll be bringing you this human disaster here: L Lawliet from Death Note. In canon he's the WORLD'S GREATEST DETECTIVE!!!! who has been chasing down some chip-eating mass murder with a god complex (hi Light!) Anyway, L is a bundle of weird, much of which has followed him along into his AU self.

In AU, he's Linden "Lin" Lawson, PhD student drowning in his dissertation and teaching undergrad sociology courses. He's still a professional insomniac who tends to be really non-reactive and unnerving. It's only going to get worse as his regains progress. He's kind of blunt and not always he easiest to get along with, but he mostly means well. Please be his friend. Or hate him. Always on the lookout for current or past students -- I know I talked to a few folks about that on the workshop. So yeah. :)

Charlotte in canon is super duper strong but pretends she's a delicate maiden so men will like her more. She's a bit of a gold digger and dreams of that noble life.

AU Charlotte is a late-blooming university student in her last year, studying Business. She's also a part-time security guard to pay the bills and models on instagram to pass the time. She's a small town girl looking to the big city and while she doesn't have to worry about breaking your back with her strength just yet, she does pretend she's dumber than she is so you aren't too intimidated by her smarts, and she lies about her ripe old age of 25.

a little bit of canon info: dia is the student council president and is also a school idol, part of a group called aqours! she is very. very. VERY passionate about school idols and takes her job as president very seriously. she's """mature""" and responsible and tries very hard.

in recolle, dia isn't student council president nor is she an idol! rather, she's captain of the girl's swim team, a member of the handicrafts club and the community service club, and an A student who does not have any work-life balance whatsoever. she's aiming to get into recolle u this upcoming year for pharmacology. she's also olivia rose's (lightning farron) younger step-sister at 18 years old! she also still...secretly loves idols and is trying to improve her singing, so she'll be auditioning for the school's musical...if that hasn't happened already...

Hiiiii, I'm Tobyfs and I'm new to the game! Joining in here with Usopp from One Piece.

In canon, he's a pirate, part of the Strawhat Pirates with the likes of Zoro and Sanji, but he's more fun and awesome and totally brave and not at all a liar. But, no, really, he's a pretty cool dude with a handsome nose that he won't have in the AU until I get my first regain because it's terrifying to think of him without it. He's also a master sniper that usually uses a badass slingshot.

In the AU, he lived in Recolle until 5th grade where he began his army brat life of moving around a lot, and now he's back in the city after his father's death trying to figure out what to do with his life because he has no dang clue. Instead of being a sniper and using a slingshot he's a world-class archer who could probably make it to the Olympics but is that what he wants??? He is also 19 and living at a bed and breakfast right now in exchange for helping them with handyman work because even getting a real apartment is beyond him. He is still a scaredy cat.

Oh and new stencil graffiti has been popping up since he moved back into the city a month ago. How mysterious! A good boy like him would never.

heyyy i'm javid and i'm completely new to the game! i'm bringing in this awful dudebro's excuse for a human Gladiolus Amicitia, but if you call him anything other than gladio he will make faces at you. where ignis is the mom, gladio is the strict dad who isn't mad, he's just disappointed, he says while clearly angry. gladio is sworn to protect the next king in line to the throne at any cost and takes his role very seriously. he's kind of a perfectionist and that extends to other people unfortunately, but it comes from a place of love. promise.

in au land, though, gladio is just a recent grad from recolle u who came originally on a sports scholarship (boxing) but stuck around afterwards to ~*find himself*~. so far hes ~*found himself a minimum wage job working in the back of a ramen shop that he buses to from his shoebox apartment. hes less a strict dad and now more a fun dad who is still kinda judgey.

Hi again friends!! Boba here!! I'm already in the game with Yato from Noragami, but now I bring you Sakichi Ishida from Rengoku ni Warau! You may have had contact with his canon already in the form of that most crude guy with the feathers and eyepatch, Baren.

In canon, Sakichi is a laser-focused samurai trying to prevent the resurrection of the Orochi, a monster snake deity with untold destructive power. He's VERY SERIOUS about his secret mission, which he is literally the worst at keeping a secret about. He's the main protagonist and straight man, and pretty much exists to grief and get griefed by the Kumou twins. He's usually got the same stoic expression plastered on his face, but he's a good honest boy with unshakeable morals and a heart for peace. Which you might not guess when he's being so blunt that he's asking for a fight, but he tries.

He is also Mitsunari Ishida of Sengoku Period fame! His historical blurb is that he commanded the losing side at the Battle of Sekigahara. His loss allowed for the rise ofthe Tokugawa Shogunate and begun the end of the warring states period altogether. In canon he is still that dude, 20 years prior.

In Recolle, his name will be Sakichi Niijima. He's the older brother of Makoto (from p5), a veteran, and also your neighborhood mailman! He will let nothing stop him from the safe delivery of your bills, parcels, and junk mail, so please give him a friendly wave that he will stoically acknowledge as he continues to work through whatever nonsense is happening in February. Appearance-wise, his hair is now not bunned and supergreen, but cropped and black.

Hello, everyone! I'm Ruri. I'm a returning player to this game. \o Anyway, the character that I'm bringing in is Kirei Kotomine from Fate/Heaven's Feel. He's one of the main antagonists in Fate/, actually.

How does one begin to explain Kirei? Well, he's a trash-fire of a person. He was born a sadist but has high morals and really pretty good common sense. He generally realized all his thoughts of what makes him happy (the suffering of others) is pretty messed up! Like very messed up! So he tried to fix himself every way he could, but found out that there wasn't anything that could save him. So he had a question. "Why this?" And he goes about trying to figure out these answers by attempting to bring into the world pretty much the embodiment of all evil, because with the reaction that embodiment has to its own existence will answer Kirei's questions. BIT COMPLICATED. He's pretty evil but also a hollowed out man who is living in emptiness and nothing!

In Recolle, his name is Kei Shigaraki. He's still a very empty person, but he is more just a garbage can that's not yet on fire. He owns a ramen shop where he serves only mapo tofu ('course ramen is on a secret menu that he refuses exists save for a choice few). Also he owns a back-alley clinic that anyone is allowed to visit. Essentially, Kei is about as good as Kirei would ever get if he went on a GOOD ROUTE. And even then, he's living life as an empty person that's just trying not to be the worst person ever.

OKAY. Hello, I'm Emi, and I'm already in this game with the hot mess that is Okita Souji/Soujirou Katsuki. I've had a few false starts re: reserving and apping this loser, but time around I'm bringing Luvander, a side character from an obscure fantasy series about mechanical dragons, gay shit and people who are dumpster fires.

In canon he's a previous rider of said mechanical dragons who survived a war and now lives out life as the humble owner of a hat shop, though he doesn't quite manage to stay out of trouble. In this AU, he's a disabled veteran with a steampunky fashion shop who is going to think maybe he's been overdoing his work when he starts hallucinating Victorian Fantasy Russia. He's 41-year-old in an ocean of teenagers and 20-somethings and he's going to feel Too Old For This Shit and also He Is Your Mother Now.

In both canon and AU he's a friendly and talkative (too talkative) fellow, but also a pretentious and awkward creature who is way too impressed with his own cleverness. I apologize beforehand.

I'd love CR with any and all of you, either through his shop or his volunteer work with veterans or his passion for hole-in-the-wall cafés or because his kid goes to same school or just because he'll talk to an inanimate object if no other victim target presents itself.

HELLO EVERYONE!! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ty! I already play here as John Egbert from Homestuck (windeity) and I might be one of your mods or something, but this time I'm changing things up a little and bringing in someone a little different.

This cutie is Rise Kujikawa from the Persona 4 franchise! In the first game, Rise is a first-year high school student who used to be a highly popular idol under the pseudonym Risette but finds herself taking a brief hiatus for the year. After a whole lot of shenanigans she eventually finds herself as part of the Investigation Team solving the mysteries of Inaba, working with the protag and gang and wielding her own Persona while acting as the party's navigator. In later installments of the game, she goes back to her idol career and even upgrades her Persona a bit. Overall she's an upbeat confident and cheerful girl who isn't afraid to speak her mind while supporting her friends as best as she can and fighting with her own self-worth for a while :')

In game, she's Rise Aoi, a 17 year old high school senior who's incredibly shy with strangers, less shy with friends, constantly exasperated keeping up with her younger brother Hinata and a serious ballerina who's still deciding what she wants to do with her life. She spends a lot of her time volunteering for different organizations and being involved in the background because the spotlight is definitely not for her, no thank you.

Either way, I'm really excited to bring her in! This has been a long time coming tbh so it'll be fun to get her integrated and thread with a bunch of you. I'm looking forward to developing CR with everyone I can!

Sup I'm Deca decathect and I'm brand new here, bringing in a no good nasty crime boy belongs in the garbage aka Niles from Fire Emblem: Fates(Revelations route) who will be known as Nicolai Leonetti here in the city~

He's a big pansexual mess who runs with a biker gang sometimes and enjoys doing crimes to Stick It To The Man also because frankly he's lazy and hates being told what to do so fuck real jobs amirite???? Here's the drawing I did of this AU version because I'm proud of it and more people need to see it imo, but like picture more scars and more/better tattoos I'm not a professional.

He's lewd, crude, and generally very rude unless the whim to not be a jerk takes him, and he loves to punch people and hit things with tire irons, though sometimes he can be seen riding or working on motorcycles and not actually causing property or bodily damage. Chances are he's stolen from most of the establishments you've ever seen him in or at least gotten into a fight in the parking lot, but he can be a pretty fun guy if you enjoy throwing caution to the wind!

hewwo everyone i'm a mostly fresh face here but i'm apping maki nishikino (maki turner here) who is essentially supposed to be love live's token tsundere (and the best girl). for anyone not familiar with the series she's the group's composer and resident grouch who has too many feelings about everything but also aggressively tries to pretend like she doesn't.

she's not all too different personality-wise here! minus the crippling self-esteem issues but that is a story for another time. a pretty good tl;dr of her au background is she's had a love for music at a young age, sorta got discovered via social media when she was really young, got signed by a label and prepared for years to record a proper album and debut and sort of flopped and never got her chance to do all that. she's went back to public school for the first time time in six years this spring and spoilers: she hates it and has no friends.

aside from that she also spends way too much time fighting with people online. light and monika (who is also apping this cycle) are her older siblings and she's moody and gay. i think that covers it? you can read her full app here if you so desire.

hey guys! i'm michelle and i'm bringing to you all korra from the legend of korra! you know she's really cool because she has a series named after her. for anyone not familiar with her canon, korra is the next avatar after aang. she's a water tribe-born spitfire, and she goes through a lot of maturing and growing up over the series. she's boisterous and aggressive, but she has a compassionate streak thousands of miles long. she's also hella strong.

in the game, though, she's recently moved to recolle after her mom passed away! korra's pretty much the same as in canon, but she's less concerned about spirituality and she's a lot less sheltered. she's engaged to olivia rose (lightning farron) and she has a samoyed dog named nimbus. korra does a lot of sports! she boxes and works out at the gym, and she's a physical therapist too. korra also likes to cook. let her feed everyone.

As for who I'm bringing... This is Reika Rikudou (recolle name: Ai Aoki) from Fate/Apocrypha. In canon she's the Master of Assassin of Black, Jack the Ripper. Jack the Ripper being summoned as a very playful but evil little girl. Jack saved Reika from her original Master who tried killing her in the ritual. It was a bad move because whoops, Reika is way worse of a human being than that guy ever was. I mean. If you were saved by a magical little girl you'd totally help them on a serial killing spree, right? That's just good mothering skills right there.

Aaanyway. In Recolle she's a piano teacher and waitress (for where I haven't quite decided yet). She's still fairly uncaring to the world in general but she's trying to a normal person since she has no reason to go against the law or anything. That's just silly. She's also Luna's new foster mom. HI! Almost late, but hi, I'm Kiki, brand new here and bringing in Angeal Hewley from FFVII - Crisis Core, aka Zack's mentor who eventually finds out he's been a genetic experiment that his mother participated in and then crashes and burns. (He's a boss but only because he thinks he needs to be put down, not because he turns evil.)

In AU land, he's Andrew G. Hughes, military vet who's trying to decide what to go to uni for. He's been back in Recolle for about six months and has been working as a bouncer at Club Sunshine because what is doing nothing... I'll probably see about him having a membership at the gym, too. Other than being friends with Zack from the military and coming from a town nearby, he doesn't have much in terms of preset CR, so if you want something of that, hmu.

Hello friends, my name is Plus! I'm recently getting back into the DWRP game after some down time finishing college, and I bring to you Laslow (or Inigo if u prefer) from Fire Emblem: Fates/Awakening! He's the time travel future-son of a dancer from a war-torn kind-of-zombie apocalypse future, who came back in time to save his parents and get laid. Later he went to the kingdom of Nohr to be a retainer for the crown prince, shocking everyone in his ability to be competent.

In the AU he's Cyan Beaufort, the son of an immigrant and a would-be dancer famous dancer/stage actor trying to catch his big break. He knows ballet, hip hop, tap, some jazz and tango, and a few traditional dances. Also, he can breakdance and also knows how to waltz. And also probably random bits of other styles of dance. He Loves To Dance.

Hey guys! One more sliding in just under the wire! This is Kae, already here with Aradia (Ami), and now bringing you Qubit from Irredeemable! If you're not familiar, it's a comic about a Superman expy who goes crazy and kills everyone. Qubit is not that expy, but he is one of the guys who has to deal with him. He's a technokinetic superhero who teleports everywhere and is smarter than you (also: smarter than me). He doesn't always fuck up, but when he does, it's catastrophic!

In Recollé, he's Michael Quinn, an up-and-coming sci-fi author, opinionated blogger, and IT guy at Recollé University. If you're at RU and you break your computer, or forget your password, or contract 400,000 viruses, Quinn's your man. He doesn't always fuck up, but when he does, it's ... usually recoverable! This will change. Also he has glasses now, I just haven't like... drawn them in on his icons.

Hi there, everyone! I'm Seto, and I'm completely new to the game!

I'm bringing in Roji from Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation. Kind of a mouthful I know, haha. As the name of the canon implies, Roji is part of an investigation bureau that takes clients who are being troubled by spirits. They then track down the spirits and sentence them with Magic Law! Muhyo, a prodigy among executors, is the one who does the sentencing and Roji, who is still inexperienced and learning the ropes, provides support. If you're into spooky ghost content, boy does this have you covered right from chapter 1. The various envoys from the Underworld that the ghosts are sentenced by are also really neat: here's the Night Train for an example.

As for Roji himself, in the Magic Law business he's known for his kindhearted approach to the job. Friendly and compassionate, he made it his dream to go into Magic Law because above all else he wanted to help friends and others who were having a hard time dealing with ghosts, even if he's actually terrified of them himself. He's very much still a newbie to the whole Magic Law thing, and has his bouts of being over-emotional and grappling with self-doubt, but he does his best to support Muhyo and their clients in any way he can.

In Recolle, Roji's personality is more or less pretty similar to his canon counterpart's, though with a bit less confidence issues and extreme levels of altruism. There is obviously less ghosts too. Having moved from Japan to Recolle two years ago, Roji's been working as a cook at Recolle U while he saves up to eventually attend the very same college! His cooking is Very Good. He's also very much into anime and mobile games, among other nerdy things.

Bonjour friends, I am Pixle, and completely new to this game!

I bring you Michel Mishina (originally Eikichi Mishina) from Persona 2: Innocent Sin. For those not familiar with Persona 2, it's a game without social links and school activities like in the later game, instead following a set plot, so that means rumors, an evil clowns and his associates, aliens and nazis (I promise this makes sense when you play the game). If you have any questions about the game or Eikichi, I'd be happy to answer!

As his AU self Michel in Recolle, Eikichi is a popular Youtuber with a few already established friendships and a rising star of a celebrity. His popularity, however, has made him a lot more paranoid than his canon version, and he has trouble knowing if people are really his friends, or just friends because he's a star. He's also in college, and will be in dire help to stay afloat in his grades.
